"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

I met Bill Clinton in Lima.

Hilary and him were in town for some bullshtein and there was a ceremony at the park down the street from my girl's house. We were walking back and the security was pretty lax. I walked over and introduced myself and told him I was pleased to meet him.

I'm somewhat convinced that's Dave Chappelle.

Well, I was. And I got ripped for it by my girl for acting getting fired up to meet a President.

Its too damn bad I didn't have a Philly sports jersey on so I could take a picture and post it on here... :P

QuoteEmboldened by passage of the nation's toughest law against illegal immigration, the Arizona politician who sponsored the measure now wants to deny U.S. citizenship to children born in this country to undocumented parents.

Legal scholars laugh out loud at Republican state Sen. Russell Pearce's proposal and warn that it would be blatantly unconstitutional, since the 14th Amendment guarantees citizenship to anyone born in the U.S.

But Pearce brushes aside such concerns. And given the charged political atmosphere in Arizona, and public anger over what many regard as a failure by the federal government to secure the border, some politicians think the idea has a chance of passage.

"I think the time is right," said state Rep. John Kavanagh, a Republican from suburban Phoenix who is chairman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee. "Federal inaction is unacceptable, so the states have to start the process."

Unreal.

And read some of the comments. Dumb rednecks.

......really?

That might belong in the what the farg is wrong with the world, er our country, today.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

That's one way to stifle the population growth of your state, I guess.

where is that zealot shorebird to defend his people

seriously how can anyone be a republican and willingly identify with leaders like that. say what you will about nancy pelosi and joe biden, they are all kinds of suck, but they arent even remotely on the level of these klansman dressed in suits or the likes of beck and limabugh.

no republican has ever given a good reason as to why they are one. its just stubbornness and apathy. has to be.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

they will say they are for less spending but we all know that is a farce and hasnt been a republican issue for decades...less spending to them means fewer dollars to help out the less fortunate...because if they were really about less spending theyd slash the pentagon budget today

which is why they have basically abandoned claims to any semi normal issues and have instead went insane on all social standings...its all they have left to save their antiquated neanderthalic party

De-regulating business and cutting taxes became the Republican calling card, along with lip service to a conservative religion based social agenda, a long time ago. It isn't a difficult position to defend on the surface actually.

We're putting more money in your pockets.
We're increasing the wealth of the nation and strenghtening our international sway by deregulating business for the sake of unfiltered greed/profit.
We're trying to protect your everlasting soul.

It isn't a highly intellectual position, though there are plenty of intellectuals who believe the Republican way is best, but it is a highly customizable message that can work with just about anyone who doesn't have the time or inclination to read everything they can get their hands on and form their own opinion.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.
