Quote"The defendant took an unholstered, loaded pistol into a crowded nightclub, accidentally firing it with one hand while holding his drink in the other," he said. "This extreme and reckless disregard for safety is what New York's gun laws were designed to prevent."

Wow, hadn't heard that part. What a friggen' idiot.

QuoteJermaine Phillips arrested on felony battery charges
Posted by Mike Florio on January 10, 2010 7:52 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had several guys on the wrong side of the window that separates the front seat and back seat of a police cruiser.

Now they have another.

Safety Jermaine Phillips, according to the tip from a reader regarding the online database of the Hillsbrough County Sheriff's Office, was arrested today on felony charges of "domestic battery by strangulation."

Phillips is being held without bond.

The 30-year-old Phillips was placed on injured reserve in September with a broken thumb.  The nine-year veteran has spent his entire career with the Buccaneers.

QuoteDallas Cowboys starting fullback Deon Anderson was arrested in the early hours Tuesday morning on traffic warrants discovered by Addison, Texas, police who were called to a disturbance between Anderson and restaurant staff.

More on the Cowboys

Calvin Watkins and Tim MacMahon have the Cowboys blanketed for ESPNDallas.com. Check in with their constantly updated coverage. Blog

According to a statement from the Addison police department, two weapons were confiscated at the scene and Anderson's car was impounded for further investigation. No charges have been filed at this time in relation to the weapons.

Addison police said they are still investigating. Cowboys officials said they are aware of the incident and are looking into it.

Anderson said he was trying to start his car when he exchanged words with a valet attendant and a security guard at the BlackFinn restaurant in Addison. Anderson said he didn't use any profanity during the incident and declined further comment.

Andersons' brother, Devon, was also arrested on charges of public intoxication.

No way... a Cowboy was arrested?

Edit: looks like he also pulled a gun.

Quote
Addison police have issued an arrest warrant for Dallas Cowboys fullback Deon Anderson on a new charge of deadly conduct for allegedly pulling a gun on a man early yesterday morning.

The charge stems from the same early morning incident in which Anderson was arrested for outstanding Irving traffic warrants.

Quotetaterskins cornerback Byron Westbrook was busted early Friday on suspicion of drunk driving charges.  Per NBCWashington.com, the brother of Eagles running back Brian Westbrook was pulled over shortly before 2:00 a.m. ET, after switching lanes several times.

He failed "several" field sobriety tests, and he refused to submit to a breath test.

Pick a lane and go, Byron. Don't dance around out there.

The man. The myth. The legend.

he'd know that if he were a halfback.

It works for halfbacks, put/kick returners, and drivers. Don't go back and forth 500 times like an icehole.

He needed a leader, like a Donovan McNabb, to come out and console him.
