I'm all for Reid bashing and especially giving Banner worse but doing so about Witherspoon/Gibson is just stupid. It's worked out great for the Eagles and about the same for the Rams.

As stupid as the decision was in hindsight, lets not pretend that we all knew that Raheem Brock was going to be as good as he is. He was a 7th round pick coming from football powerhouse (hi MDS!) Temple.

True, but in the same draft, they picked a kid in the 3rd round from 'Nova. And while correct that no one could have known, they cut him over a measly signing bonus - not even a base salary issue. If I'm not mistaken he came into TC before that happened as well. So for their farging pride of $15-25k they cut him. Indy sure thought he looked good. Plus his dad was a player - Zachary Dixon, who even played for the birds.

Look I know the sun don't rise and set on this guy, but crap, they saw fit to give Tyreo Harrison, 6th rd rook, a $50k sb that same year and Freddy Milons (5th) $110k. Good times from Cap'n Andy. And 02 was one of his better drafts.

I'm done now, sorry for the dead horse beating.

iirc, they couldn't sign him because they ran out of money under the rookie pool cap, it wasn't that they were just cheap and refused to cough up a few extra bucks.
