So you'd rather have Gibson, and LBs Bradley, Gocong, and Jordan, over no Gibson but having Bradley, Witherspoon, and Gocong as starting LBs.  Just saying that talent for talent the Eagles made a good mid-season trade that rarely ever occurs.  I was hoping the Eagles would have signed Witherspoon in free agency when he hit the market a couple of years back.  Could they have used more depth at LB?  Yeah.  Guess I just don't get the Gibson infatuation.

At least DeSean's concussion came in a good week.  If they can't beat the Falcons without their two top offensive players then this team has no hope of making any noise later on.

the point is that if they paid even a modicum of attention to the linebackers they wouldnt have had to trade for witherspoon

for example if out of the group of gocong jordan tracy white foku joe mays there was even one (two would be even better) good linebacker witherspoon might not have been neccessary

i mean all you need to know about the quality of the lb's is that they had to bring in jeremiah trotter

Yes - I was referring to another brilliant Reid-Co decision to smugly (gee I like that word) cut-off their schmeckel to spite their face by denying a farging $15k rookie signing bonus thereby losing him to the Colts. He's no all-pro, but for $15k mother fargin dollars he was a damn sight better outcome than Doogs or other "point-of-pride" personnel decisions Cap'n Andy doggedly stuck with.
