Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf is in trouble.

According to KFDA-TV in Amarillo, Tex., the former San Diego Chargers bust was indicted by a Texas grand jury today on seven counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, one count of burglary and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Per the report, the Randall County District Attorney's office stated that the dates of the alleged offenses run from January to October of last year.

Last year, Leaf resigned from an assistant coaching position at West Texas A&M after allegedly asking a player for a pain pill to deal with a chronic wrist injury.

Before retiring from the NFL, Leaf passed for just 14 touchdowns and 3,666 yards with 36 career interceptions and a 50.0 quarterback rating.

I think the funniest part is that he knocked on her window. Was he like "scuse me, do you have a tissue?"

Actually, I have a friend who this happened to. True story. She was dressing after a shower and spotted a guy looking in from the back yard. She dressed and went out and yelled at him to get the farg off the property and she's calling the police. The guy had retreated some and sheepishly answered through the darkness, "I'm not done yet."

there's so much to make fun of here.  where does one start?

january to october, eh?  so basically, his criminal career/drug addiction lasted longer than his nfl career.

is leaf's chronic wrist injury a long-term, nagging injury that won't heal properly or did he actually hurt it while trying to smoke some chronic?

so ryan leaf was trying to score some drugs and i guess you could say he was......intercepted.

I don't know where he lives and how large his territory is, so I can't offer an educated guess.

Hey, with that chronic wrist injury, maybe it was Ryan Leif.

SD_Eagle5

The chronic wrist problem is funny. He supposedly had a bad wrist with the Chargers and claimed he couldn't practice (or maybe he sat out mini camps or something). Then he was spotted a week or two later playing golf. When asked about the wrist he said it didn't hurt when he played golf, only when he threw a football.

QuoteCowboys Fullback Gets Busted

What better way to start the Memorial Day weekend than with an NFL player arrest?

On Friday, Cowboys fullback Asaph Schwapp was busted at Love Field in Dallas for carrying a prohibited weapon.

But it wasn't a gun.  (So what the hell was it?)

Schwapp was signed as an undrafted free agent earlier this year.  He played college football at Notre Dame

Cowboys Ass swap arrested at Love Field is what it first sounded like to me.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donté Stallworth is pleading not guilty to DUI manslaughter charges from a fatal Miami car crash in which a pedestrian died. The plea was entered at a brief court hearing in Miami by defense attorney Christopher Lyons.

Stallworth, 28, did not appear in court. A trial date has not been set. The former Eagle faces up to 15 years if convicted. Police say Stallworth was driving drunk after a night on the town when he struck and killed Mario Reyes, 59, on a Miami Beach causeway. Stallworth is free on $200,000 bail and is required to abstain from alcohol, not drive and observe a curfew.

He's now going to plead out and serve time.

QuoteStallworth had faced up to 15 years in prison on the DUI manslaughter charge, but the plea deal calls for far less time. Chavez would not provide details on the penalties, nor would Stallworth attorney Christopher Lyons.

Luckily for him, he'll only have to serve one year. They'll release him after that because of his lingering hamstring issues.
