I can't see Dibble lasting more than a season as color analyst for the Nats.  He bashes them every day.

It's the truth, but I can't see him lasting.

He's gotten better. His "we and us" stuff was annoying early on because he had no prior affiliation with them, but listening to him go apeshtein makes me appreciate him. He makes good points too.

Rome,

what was he saying?

Rome

Basically that St. Clare approached the job like "it's my way or the highway" and that he wasn't flexible at all in terms of handling the pitchers.  Honestly, for a second I thought the words "Joe Kerrigan" were going to come out of Dibble's face because that's exactly how Kerrigan is described.

He also said that the guy who replaced St. Clare is a much better fit for the Nats because he actually groomed their younger guys in the minors and has a much better rapport with them as a result.

The main complaint the pitchers had was they had gotten to the Majors throwing the way they throw then he basically tried to square peg them all into the same sort of pitchers without regard for their individual abilities.

The rest of it was just Dibble relaying the same tired stories he tells about his time with the Reds and Jody Mac sort of agreeing with everything he said.

ice grillin you

dibble is bad in an awesome way....to bad he has to share a booth with that abortion bob carpenter

Carpenter is annoying. And last year when they had Ray Knight or Don Sutton in there it was unbearable.

Crazy Vicente went head-hunting last night. He plunked Texiera twice and then Texiera went hard into Andus at second to break up a DP and allow a run to score.

Texeira is a Hoyda.  He ran his mouth like a flag up the line instead of just laughing it off and taking his base.  Hell, if he was that pissed off he should have charged Padilla and knocked him the farg out.

Then he turns around and takes out a guy at short who's half his size as "payback" which further escalated things.

Like I said... flag.

charing the mound proably gets you ejected.  sliding hard into 2nd sends a message and is legal.  smart play imo.

Braves cut Glavine.

QuoteTwo teams that have been looking for pitching and might be a good fit for Glavine are the Dodgers and Phillies. But a source told Olney that the Dodgers, who own the best record in the league, are a "longshot."

Did Padilla really get cut? It doesn't matter to him because the Rangers paid him pretty good.

a big fat ass NO on Glavine.

PhillyPhreak54

Apparently the Braves have traded for Nate McLouth.
