No, but having researched some of the older threads, I take it as a compliment to be compared to such an obviously erudite poster.

QuotePace had an offer from the Philadelphia Eagles, but he decided to sign with the Bears on the day Cutler was acquired in a trade from the Broncos.

So they let Tra walk and were willing to sign Pace?

Did Tra take a one year deal?

The man. The myth. The legend.

Wm Tra took a 3 yr deal but I think it didn't include a SB, so maybe it's the same as 3 one year deals.

Why not throw a one or two year deal at Pace?  He got something better, so good for him.

reese125

are you kidding me?

now FF wants to sign a 33 year old OL that plays 3 games a season, but just sign him for a year

and the fact that the last line of that article was a throw in team to make it look like somebody actually wanted his ass is even better

ff was always a homer but hes morphed into spadaro before our very eyes

I'm just saying that if they offered a crappy little deal to Tra, why not throw one at Pace and see if it sticks?

You asses are forcing me to one side of every argument just to make this place interesting.  Otherwise, it would just be everyone suckling at each others' balls over Dawkins leaving or firing cripples or not getting Jay farging Cutler.

reese125

you still dont get it---why in the hell do you want Pace, better yet why do you want the Eagles to have him?

PoopyfaceMcGee

I'd want him because he's at least a better 4th OT than Winston Justice.

reese125

absolutely--end of discussion

no one cares about the cripple specifically....yes it was a fleshpopheadish move to fire him but in a normal world it wouldnt really register...however in the eagles world when you put it on top of everything else this FO has done over the last decade and the uncaring holier than thou pretentious aura they have put forth then it becomes a big deal

the dawk thing was 1000% indefensible...there of course are different levels of how wrong you think the move was...but if you think it was not a bad move then you literally are spadaro

as for cutler there isnt one single person ive seen that has criticized the team over not getting him nor did anyone think the team would get him...some just thought it would have been a good idea to have done it
