I would not waste the cash on Ward either.

Get young there.

Jermaine Phillips
Sean Jones
Dawan Landry

Landry is a RFA and I think was tendered with a 5th round comp. He's big and could allow Mikell to move to FS.

I think just to piss the fans off even more they are going to use one of the picks to draft another QB.

Never too early to draft the future QB for after the Kolb era.

I'd be pleased if they drafted a quarterback.

me too...i think it would be really exciting to have cutler rivers ryan flacco type potential at qb...they arent going anywhere anyway so why not have the potential and excitement of new era...it would great to know that we could skip the Kolb era altogether...of course a new owner and coach would breath life into the fanchise as well

The fact that they are showing interest in Ward is good to know.

A really good running game would be most helpful.  Besides, Westbrook was really not that great last year.  He may do about as well or slightly better with some more help, but I think it's more likely that he is on the downside of his career also.

It would be nice if they'd show some interest in a guy who has more than half a season of experience at fullback.

That's crazy talk.  What they really should have done was re-sign Dawkins and play him at fullback.  It would have been the right thing to do.

Isn't there a rule about fullbacks being whiteys?

Nah. First they'd make him put on thirty pounds, then decide Westbrook will play at fullback. So they'd have Dawkins drop the weight again, only to cut Westbrook and ask Dawkins to put the weight back on.

They're probably cheaper.

tons of running backs you can get this year in the draft...no need to go out and pay for ward...shady mccoy is gonna be sick in the league...they should make a power move to get him if hes not there at 21...he dominates the look test too

I saw him when he was in highschool, his first carry against my alma mater went for a 72 yard td.  He rushed for over  1200 yards and 13 tds in 4 district playoff games.

Apparently the Eagles claimed former Chargers RB Eldra Buckley off waivers.  Awesome.

Igy you are nuts if you think they select a RB in the first round. Or even in the 2nd round. This team hates to run the ball and even when Buck was producing he would be only allowed to have 1 carry per half. You think all of a sudden they select a RB in the first round? To do what? Be inactive on game day because he can not pick up the blitz?
