$1.999.

Anyone else below $2?
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Feva

$2.17 nearest me.

There is a station down here going for $1.79... .with a car wash.

Closest stations are still around $2.479 here.  Because of the distribution pipeline from the gulf area, NC's had some of the highest prices in the country since Ike/Gustav.

Prices have gone down enough that morons have started buying more pickups again.  Ford is now increasing F-150 production and looking re-hire workers they've only recenlty laid off.

Anyone wonder that the financial crises really was a result of the really high gas prices this summer? Forget all the other crap. The cost of everything went up because everything needs fuel...

Reactionism is king, man.  I'm hoping prices dip even further in a year or two, so I can replace my car with a used hybrid on the cheap.

Not a Prius, though.  That would be gay.

I just bought 4 hummers

I think they were talking about cars, Biscuit.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

So, he's the setter, and you're the spiker?

Rome

$2.19 here but getting close to $2.00 elsewhere within an hour's drive.  My county has the highest gas taxes in the state, though, which is nice.

Seabiscuit36

My wrist wasnt broken, so i had to pay

Alright, I know I'm not the smartest knife in the drawer, but I have a problem. You see, I can find absolutely no reason for gas prices having been $4 in May and June when they have now dropped 50% to $2 a gal. 6 months later. No other consumer product fluctuates in price at such a rate.

Can all you boys and girls say.............price gouging???

This past summer, every time gas prices went up, oil companies set records for profits made by any other corporation ever in the history of the United States. Now, everyone is all tickled that prices are down around $2 a gal. Let me tell you all something, they are still fifty to seventy five cents a gal. too goddamn high.

Something has to be done about this goddamn ripoff of the American people.

Rome

I paid $2.11 yesterday and as I was pumping the gas I kept thinking how "nice" it was not to have to spend $60 a week to fill up my tank anymore.

When an industry has you happy about only paying half for something that should be about half of what it is even now, you know you're a slave and a pretty stupid one at that.

Here's another thing. Petroleum based building products such as roof shingles have gone up in price 75%. When the price of a barrel of oil came back down, did the price of shingles come down?? Hell no!! And it won't either, not as long as the log jam in the housing industry continues. Companies such as GAF, and IKO aren't selling many materials, so when they do get sales, they are going to make what they can. No matter that they were caked off enough 5-6 years ago when building was at it's peak to make it through times like this, they are still going to rape the American consumer.
