There was a hell of a lot more information out in the first 36 hours than a Wiki bio.  Start with the resume as presented by the McCain campaign.  That's where you start the WTF process - you look at it and say, "that's it?".  Then you look some more, and you find less.  And you look some more, and find even less.

The harder you look at this candidate, the worse her case is.

Are you paid, directly or indirectly by the Obama campaign?

Yu are so blatently and blindingly pushing a party line agenda that there is not one thing you post that can be taken seriously.

Pretty much sums up 98% of the posts in the thread.

General_Failure

With the other 2% being snarky remarks about the other 98%.

The man. The myth. The legend.

12 years ago people were screeching for term limits because they felt that the over-experienced members of congress had become more concerned with reelection than with actually accomplishing anything or taking risks for their constituents.

A lack of experience in American politics can be a good thing. That isn't a Democratic or Republican line of thought. People from both sides of the conversation have held this opinion. What we have here, once again, is one side pointing out anything that they can think of to scare people away from voting for the other candidate.

Obama doesn't have a ton of political experience and, although I disagree with some of his economic stances, I consider that a good thing.
Palin doesn't have a ton of political experience and, although I strongly disagree with her social stances, I consider that a good thing.

Something new is needed. I prefer the Obama-new to the Palin-new, but using inexperience as a constant topic is pointless and only serves to distract further from real issues.

That's bullshtein.  Due to Palin's lack of experience, you should be downright frightened that she is a heartbeat away from the Presidency.  Basing your feelings on her social platform is unnecessary, because she is just so wildly unqualified.  Try to do better next time.

...except the guns and pro-hockey stuff.  We know you hate religion and retards.

I'll go ahead and say it. I don't want a woman downsbaby in the whitehouse.

Yes, I am pro-Obama, I never claimed to be otherwise.  However, I take any insinuation that I don't evaluate the information available and come to my own conclusions as a personal insult.  Being told what to think and echoing the "party line" is exactly what I think is wrong with the US voter right now, and I resent the implication that I do the same.

So, my two questions have gone unanswered by the McCain campaign, the press, or anyone on this board:

1) What does Palin offer as a VP candidate that has not been called into question by documentation of her own actions?
2) What does Palin offer as a VP candidate that puts her above seemingly more qualified candidates?
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

1. Your insinuation is correct in a lot of ways as far as I can tell. There is evidence that refutes a lot of the claims that the Republican ticket is making about her. But she is wildly popular, unseated a Governor from her own party and has tackled issues head on. This isn't black and white.
2. She's sexy as shtein and McCain loves to lay the pipe to younger women.

Just kidding, the real answer to both is Who Cares?
