The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Wow, we should have went to St. Louis instead of Clinton Iowa this weekend. We paid 3.51 and were happy. 3.77 west of chicago.

Jersey is flirting with 3.20 and below.

Yeah - I was paying in the $3.20s while I was down in NC last week.  Makes it extra painful to come back up here.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Exactly. A neverending war later and all of a sudden we're excited about paying $3.359 for gas...

But I thought the war was to get cheap oil?

I paid $3.43 today in St. Michals, MD. Thought it was cheap. Then I realized, what a smuck i am to be happy about paying that much for gas. The farging oil companies raised the prices so high at the beginning of the summer, that now all the sheeple are happy to pay less than 4 bucks a gallon, when two years ago it was less than three dollars a gallon. I never fill my truck up anymore, because the pumps all cut off at $75.00, which gives me three quarters of a tank, and I'm too damn lazy to swipe my card again.

For a while, every time the oil companies raised prices, they set records for profits by the quarter of any cooperation in the history of the U.S. And today I was happy to pay less than $3.50 a gallon. I feel like everytime I grab the gas nozzle I'm jerking off some oil baron.

Tell me they didn't have that farging shtein figured out.

Pretty sure that's price gouging.  Do they have a consumer protection department in your state?  If so, call them because there's just no way that's right.  Not even with the boogieman hurricane in the Gulf.
