Just watched a torture type movie called Funny Games.

It was kinda brilliant in one scene...the rewind scene (if anyone has seen it). I never saw a horror/thriller suck the hope out of the outcome of the movie as much as that one scene.

Oh, there's a foriegn version done in 1997 and a us version with naomi campbell done in 2007. It doesnt matter which one you watch, they are shot for shot identical.

The rewind scene is a 5/5
the rest of the movie...3.5/5

i think you mean naomi watts.

anyway watched tropic thunder this past weekend. if you like silly comedies, like the other ben stiller directed movies, you will love this. fortunately for me i do. its also pretty good at poking fun at hollywood itself with some great parodies of movie trailers, actors, and the whole movie scene.

4 out of 5.
Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

The Bank Job:

Pretty good movie. A lot better than I expected. Saffron Burrows is insanely hot, and Jason Statham is a badass as usual, even though he didn't bust out into martial arts and start beating dudes down. Hard to judge a plot when it is based off a true story, but the story played out pretty well.

B/10
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Way of the Gun:

Another movie that was a lot better than I expected. I usually don't like Ryan Phillippe, but he is good in it. Del Toro is good in it as usual. James Caan is in it as well, but doesn't really start playing a major role until about 30-40 minutes into the movie. In what is a pretty serious movie, there are some subtle funny moments here and there. Pretty good plot, but can be a bit hard to follow at times.

Good action sequences.

She's not half as funny as everyone thinks, and not a tenth as funny as she thinks she is.
