The Other Boleyn Girl:

Wasn't great, wasn't horrible. Before I saw it, I mainly heard it was way too soap operaish. I've never watched a soap opera in my entire life, so maybe that isn't why I disliked it like everyone else I knew who watched it. Scarlett and Portman are both pretty hot in it. I'll take Scarlett in an old english dress than some skanky new mini-skirt any day. It has a pretty good cast actor-wise. Eric Bana is always pretty good. The downside was no nudity.

If you hate soap operas, stay away. If you don't mind manipulative try to win the man stories with some politics thrown in, then give it a shot.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

Charlie Bartlett.

Watchable.  Somewhat good.  3/5.

88 Minutes:

Starts off promising, but was way too jumbled and thrown together. If it had some back story, it may have made more sense, but as it got toward the end it just started to unravel until it was so convoluted  it was almost laughable. Such is common place though in mystery thrillers these days. Sadly, it's probably been about 10 years since Pacino has been in a truly good movie.

I watched

Dark Knight-You all should go watch it. It's really good.

Super Bad- Exceed my expectations. I thought it was really funny. It was also 3am and 4 yeager bombs and a few guinesses deep when I watched it.

I don't think I've seen as many movies in my life as I've seen this week.

Wanted:

A matrix-style action flick, where pretty much every stunt defies the laws of physics and realism. I personally don't mind it as long as I know the movie doesn't try to be realistic. It was entertaining, but certainly not anything all that special. Don't expect much of a story, because there really isn't much of one. Pretty much just all action. Worth a rent when it comes out on DVD.

Lucky Number Slevin:

Good movie. Liked it quite a bit. Good humor, quality plot, pretty good cast, although I don't like Hartnett a lot. Definitely worth checking out.

i saw a tripleheader yesterday, pineapple express, vicki christina barcelona, and step brothers.    they were all meh.  only watched the first 30-40 min. of step brothers as filler between the other two movies and surprisingly laughed a lot.  i'm sure it got worse as most recent will ferrell movies but thats just a guess.  the woody allen movie was not quite as horrible as most woody allen movies but it was still kind of pointless.  two hot chicks making out made it bearable though.  pineapple express was what i really went to see and it was kind of a let down.  stated out really promising but got pretty predictable and boring towards the end.  still worth watching though, and james franco was the best part of the movie.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
