Not bad, a 2nd fourth rounder that could be used as a chip in a trade offer.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

you cant trade compensatory picks

I guess I should have been more specific...they now have two 4th rounders so they could trade the regular one in a deal and still have another pick in the 4th.

Not more specific.  More accurate.
Anyone but Reid.

I'm betting two of those 6th rounders will make the team.

Sixth round, 184th overall
Sixth round, 191st overall (from Cleveland)
Sixth round, 200th overall (compensatory)
Sixth round, 203rd overall (compensatory)
Seventh round, 230th overall (from Seattle)

oh goodie,  we get to watch these five picks go by on the ESPN ticker at 90 mph in the waning moments of the draft.

Then none of those guys make the roster, but we keep three or four RFAs.
I've never really gotten that bit.....
Anyone but Reid.

QuoteA league source said yesterday that the Eagles have asked at least one team for a first-round draft choice in exchange for Sheppard, a hefty price tag for a player who has missed 14 games in the last three seasons because of injuries. The same source, however, said he would rather have Sheppard than DeAngelo Hall, the former Atlanta Falcons cornerback who was traded to the Oakland Raiders last week for a second-round draft pick this year and a fifth-rounder next year.

An Eagles source said that second- and fifth-round picks would be the least the team should expect in return for Sheppard. Another team source has consistently said that the offers the Eagles have received for Sheppard have been good enough that it remains likely the team will trade the cornerback

the compenatory pick is 4th round in name only...its really a 5th rounder...it doesnt give the eagles much protection in trading away their real 4th rounder as you are making it sound...if youre gonna make point youre trying to make it would make more sense to say they now can trade their 5th rounder
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

He was covering the fact he didn't know (or forgot) that compensatory picks are not able to be traded.

It was a valiant effort indeed.

The Eagles should just shut the farg up about Sheppard until he's dealt.  The inside sources bullshtein is retarded but not nearly as retarded as Reid saying that "Lito's still an Eagle" with that walrus-like smirk on his face.
