Among the rumors circulating at the meetings was the Packers' apparent interest in veteran quarterbacks A.J. Feeley of the Philadelphia Eagles and J.P. Losman of the Buffalo Bills.

Both are under contract, but have been the subject of trade rumors.

The Packers are interested in a veteran backup for first-year starter Aaron Rodgers.

"It'd be nice, I suppose, because there's an advantage to some experience," Thompson said, "but I think more important it's to find a guy who can play if we need him to step in."

Rumors persist that Bengals WR Chad Johnson could be traded to Philadelphia or Dallas. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones - though not mentioning Johnson by name, which would violate NFL tampering rules - said he is interested in acquiring a veteran wide receiver. "Picks for players get good value," Jones said. "Players are depreciated right now right before the draft. Picks are premium." Word around the league meeting is the Eagles would be interested in trading cornerback Lito Sheppard for Johnson.
