back to stay, yo. it was six long years away from the top, but your temple owls are back to regularly beating st. hoes and finishing top 2 in the a10. perhaps this is the beginning of another 20+ year streak of making the tourney?

i did go down to ac for the game. stopped by a sports bar before hand that was having an owl club party, who are the boosters and what not. they were letting people in for 10 bucks, all you can eat. so we took it, and chilled with al golden and ann weaver hart (prez). golden didnt finish his yuengling, either. minus points, big dude. at the bar, i got carded for the first time. i sort of felt old.

game was sweet, obviously. has to go down in my all time top 5 games attended. the hawk is dead and the owls are dancin, undeniably awesome.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Root against Illinois and Georgia today if you want to see St. Joe's or Villanova get into the tournament

Here are the guaranteed bids:

AMERICA EAST = Maryland-Baltimore County
ACC = North Carolina / Clemson winner
ATLANTIC SUN = Belmont
ATLANTIC-10 = Temple
BIG EAST = Pittsburgh
BIG SKY = Portland State
BIG SOUTH = Winthrop
BIG TEN = Wisconsin / Illinois winner
BIG XII = Texas / Kansas winner
BIG WEST = Cal State-Fullerton
COLONIAL = George Mason
C-USA = Memphis
HORIZON = Butler
IVY LEAGUE = Cornell
MAAC = Siena
MAC = Kent State
MEAC = Coppin State
MVC = Drake
MOUNTAIN WEST = UNLV
NORTHEAST = Mount St. Mary's
OHIO VALLEY = Austin Peay
PAC-10 = UCLA
PATRIOT = American
SEC = Arkansas / Georgia winner
SOUTHERN = Davidson
SOUTHLAND = Northwestern State / Texas-Arlington winner
SWAC = Mississippi Valley State
SUMMIT = Oral Roberts
SUN BELT = Western Kentucky
WEST COAST = San Diego
WAC = Boise State

...and it looks like these teams are solid at-large bids:

UNC/Clemson loser
Duke
Miami
Xavier
Georgetown
Louisville
Notre Dame
Connecticut
Marquette
West Virginia
Purdue
Indiana
Michigan State
Texas/Kansas loser
Oklahoma
Stanford

georgia is up 30 to 11 early...they are going to break some hearts, especially around here if that holds true
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Georgia won but Illinois lost, so there's a small chance both Philly teams can sneak in

Mount St. Mary's vs Coppin State in the Tuesday play-in game

KU/Tex game was a great game from start to finish.  Had to have been about 14 or 15 lead changes and probably 7 or 8 ties.  It was a close game until the final 2 minutes when KU stepped up and Tex couldn't hit anything.

An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Nova, SJU and Temple all in.

Temple gets the 12 seed in the South, will play Michigan State (who beat them in their last tourney appearance in 2001).

All I can hope is that I'll be able to see the game, and not a bus to Norfolk to cover the women's team.

its a joke but id rather have a 5/12 game than an 8/9. temple has no shot to beat a top seed, so at least now they can possibly make a sweet 16 run before having to deal with a memphis team they cant beat.
