so the ncaa is expanding to 68, not 96

no details yet but im guessing all 16 seeds will be play-in games, probably 2 monday night and 2 tuesday night.

this is just gonna increase upsets and farg everyones bracket over, as 14 seeds will now become 15, 13 to 14, etc. and on down.

while it's still a stupid idea, it's far less dumb than expanding to 96 teams and doesn't really minimize the overall importance of the reg season.

NCAA said today the expanded tournament isn't just three new "#16-vs-#17" match-ups to go with the existing one....only two of the games will be.  The other two will be the final at-larges competing for a #10-#12 spot.  The "First Four" will be TUE/WED and shown on the old CourtTV channel (TruTV)
