I'm sure if anyone tried to, they could make a list of 10+ sitcoms with fat husband/hot wife as the main characters. At this point just get used to it.

but now that it's on reruns every minute of the day, i'll watch it, and it really is pretty funny.  it's a good show for dudes because you can relate to him.

not only can you relate to him but the situations the characters run into and the jokes on that show are sometimes so eerrily true to what happens in real life (at least my life) its scary

nick bakay who used to do those betting segments on espn with his wife and also wrote and voiced salem the cat from sabrina help create king of queens and was a contributer thruout the show has an absolutely hilarious sense of humor and is a genius...he also does a lot of voice overs on king of queens...hes often the play by play announcer on the games they are watching

of course if all of the above were untruths id still watch the show for leah remini who is hot as farg...at least until she became fat with baby

2.  Jerry Stiller is the only character who brings something intersting to the table.  Every other actor on that show could be replaced by Johnny Anybody and it would be just as good as it is now.  Maybe even better.

could be the worst thing you ever posted

if you dont like it you dont like it but to say anyone could do what kevin james does on that show is craziness

anyway its the writing that is so friggin funny on the show not the actors (besides james) altho every actor on there nails their part perfectly...its the only show ever with a ensemble cast that big where EVERY single character is funny as shtein

I have watched several episodes of that show and feel the same way about it that I feel about Everybody Loves Raymond. Useless dude who's life revolves around sports and being fat is nagged incessantly by his sent-from-hell wife and his extended family, who mysteriously are always around. Both shows suck ass, the characters suck ass, and they play the 'doesn't married life suck' schtick to an uncomfortable degree. If they represented my life in any way I would kill myself.

If that's what your life is like AND you find it funny, I feel very farging sorry for you.

nah it's pretty funny.  surprisingly.  and it doesn't do the "married life sucks" schtick at all.  quite the opposite actually.

Off the top of my head things that are funnier in the last ten years than the king of queens:

arrested development
seinfeld
the simpsons seasons 3-10
larry sanders
curb
both versions of the office
comic relief moments from the wire
watching people take shteins
eating ears of corn
typing things on a computer
watching paint dry
sabrina the teenage witch
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Dude, I must have seen the wrong episodes then, because Leah Remini was always whining about some shtein he was doing when I watched. She's hot, but she needs to die.

i've probably only seen it like 25x but i've laughed pretty hard at many of them.

MadMarchHare

There hasn't been a funny sitcom since the original cast of Cheers.
Anyone but Reid.

Dillen

Tyler Perry's House of Payne is pretty good.

.......

Rome

I don't know why I thought this was funny but I did, so...

Magical_Retard

i guess im in the minority here but i really like everybody loves raymond.

in south asian culture...living with your immediate and sometimes even extended family all the time is the norm...a lot of what goes in the show seems very real to me. having your parents living with you or over all the time is the normal and it does cause those sorts of problems and bickering.

plus debra is/was HOT.
Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!
