Entertaining if you've seen the show, but it has to be incredibly confusing if you haven't.

Also 1.2 million watched the season 5 premiere, the lowest ever. Good.

So...Avon returned and there is a fake serial killer because McNulty is crazy. Not really a jump the shark moment when you put it in context, but we'll see how it plays out.

yeah i dont like the serial killer angle at all...its ridiculous and the first thing in five seasons of the show that isnt 100% believable much less incredibly realistic

in theory, yes. but i rewatched the episode knowing what happened, and if you get inside mcnultys head, youll see how it makes sense to him. not saying i love the angle, but im willing to give david simon the benefit of the doubt and play this thing out.

there no problem with mcnulty thinking of it...i mean hes clearly losing it...but for lester to agree with it and help him or for it to even remotely work is ludicrous...the only way to really save it would be for mcnulty to realize his idiocy and give it up or for him to get caught before it goes any further...

if this is a story line thruout this season and actually catches on with the dept/media/public then it will be a major mistake imo

Me not watching The Wire is still much more interesting than anything pertaining to Penn State University Athletics.
