I wanted to hate it mostly because igy and mds were bustin nuts over it, but it really is one of the best shows ever on television.

It goes deeper than that, at first it seems like Law & Order meets New Jack City but the more you get into it the more you realize it's not your average cops and robbers show. The characters are as believable as any show ever made and you get a real sense of the problems of an inner city. Every season deals with a new angle and the plot is always fresh.

I never had HBO until recently but always wanted to watch the Sopranos since there was so much hype about it. I bb'd season 1 and was dissappointed. It wasn't horrible but I got bored with it. Season 2 came and I sent it back, I'm done.

after the game ended tonight they went to the 11pm news teaser and the lead story was how the wire season premiere was in bmore tonight and "how it changed the city"...sean taylor type hyperbole but still good stuff since the worst episode of the wire is better than sean taylors whole life
