As they do every odd year...ticket prices go up

Since that clearly was not your story (words were far too big for you IGY), perhaps quoting it and its source might be better, eh?

Just the use of punctuation and capital letters tipped off that it's not his.

Plus he apparently quoted somebody in the middle of the post.

Igy,

Just think of the price increase as "taxes" and you'll be OK.  ;)

Ha!  And while there are a ton of complaints about the Eagles not using increased revenue to improve the team, they CERTAINLY are more efficient about doing so than the government is about improving roads or schools.

If you don't believe that, you probably also don't think Al Sharpton's a racist.

My lower level seat at the Linc is now priced the same as the lower level seat I sat in last weekend at the Wach for a Flyers/Rangers game, at $90 per seat. I can't decide if that makes me feel any better. I guess given the relative importance of one game in 16 for the NFL vs. one of 82 for the NHL, it's a better deal...although, the NHL has such a weak TV "package", you practically have to attend the games to see professional hockey these days.

Still, I'm with Rome...I don't feel too good about a 64% increase in my ticket price going into the Linc's fifth season from the last year at the Vet ($55 to $90), on top of a $2,400 seat license. The seats have gone up even more if you factor in the increase also covers the basically worthless preseason games also billed at a full $90 per ticket.

I may be reaching my breaking point, soon...when it reaches over $100 per game for the next increase in two years, it may be time to sell...folks don't mind it as much when the team is consistently winning, but it's going to make it hard to swallow many 5-11 seasons, when that cycle eventually comes around.

Well, 1999 was at the Vet....so if you thought ticket prices would stay the same when they moved to a new stadium, that boggles MY mind.

Don't misunderstand me, PG... I knew they were going up.  I had no illusions of them standing pat nor am I particularly upset that they're raising prices again.  It's part of the deal.

Besides, if I really get upset over it, I can always sell my SBL's and make a 300-400% profit on them.  I won't of course because I'm stupid.

I live 1,000 miles away from Philly yet I still own season tickets to a football team.

Does that sound remotely intelligent to you?

Well, you live in Florida by choice...so you don't have to go much further down the "is this person stupid" line of inquiry to divine the answer.

Baltimore is no New York, I agree.  Nor however is it stripmall, chain restaurant, racist infested swampland hell.  You couldn't pay me to live in Florida.

Incidentally, of the half dozen or so criminals I've known to flee from the law...every farging one of them went to Florida.
