Prices for lower-level and some of the premium seats at Lincoln Financial Field will be raised from $80 to $90, with the exception of lower-level end zone seats, which will increase from $65 to $70. Upper-level seat prices will go from $65 to $70.

so...

premium seats are going up 12.5%
LL end zone 8%
UL end zone 16.5%

thats total bullshtein if true

I'm too poor to buy tickets anyway.  Looks like another year of DirecTV

Diomedes

I've been to probably 8 games...never paid a dime for my tickets.

Never would.  Either get 'em free or watch on TV.  And if the latter, not paying to get any special NFL package, either.  The only $$ the Eagles will ever see from me is the occasional hat or jersey.

Got better things to do with my coin than feed this monster.

I would rather spend my money to go see the team play but I have to put most of my money towards school, rent and car payments.  :(  God damn responsibility.

My tickets in 302 were $45 in 1999 (just looked at a ticket stub).  Now they're $70.

The fact that people just keep paying whatever they charge boggles my mind.

Well, 1999 was at the Vet....so if you thought ticket prices would stay the same when they moved to a new stadium, that boggles MY mind.

You miss the point.  Vet, Linc.  Upper deck, box seats.  Whatever.

People will pay anything they charge.  I don't get that.

i am fully willing to pay any and all price increases but for god sakes just make them fair

my tickets should not be getting by far a larger % increase than the rest of the stadium

^^^ that's what i'm talking about

prices are going to go up, it inevitable, but $10 in one year is rape, and not the good kind of rape.

i dont know what it is....but pick your favorite thing to do in the world (outside of spending time with kids family friends and the obvious answers) and ask yourself what youre willing to spend on it per year...i bet it would be as much or more than what it costs to get eagle tickets

Yep - supply and demand.  If anyone wants to give up their season tickets, I bet there are 10 people on this board alone who would be willing to take them off your hands.

That's not it at all.

Every year the salary cap goes up, because league revenues go up. They go up from more advertizing revenue, jersey sales, beer sales, food sales, TV contracts, video games,  and any number of the 10s of thousands if item with the NFL or Team logo on them.

All of that increases every year.

Fans were told, the new stadium needed to be built, to increase stadium revenue, to be competitive in today's NFL.
SBL's were introduced to offset some of the cost of the stadium being built.

Moving into the new stadium saw the advent of higher food prices, higher beer prices. Getting hounded for a mastercard at every gate.

Have the opperating costs of the stadium risen that much that they need to increase them every two years?

The NFL is going to fall under it's own weight at some point, it will get to a point where many people will bypass the tickets because of the cost. At the pace it is now, by 2013, it will cost over $100 for the worst seats in the house.
