When there's a foot of snow on the ground up there, it's 70 degrees down here.

Also - LOL @ the racist comments.  As if there's no racists in the northeast.   :-D

Diomedes

Foot of snow is a wondrous, beautiful thing.  So is 70 degrees.  We get both.  You lizards get only the latter.  Yay you.

And no, we don't have the racist infestation like you suckers do.

Baltimore is no New York, I agree.  Nor however is it stripmall, chain restaurant, racist infested swampland hell.  You couldn't pay me to live in Florida.

Incidentally, of the half dozen or so criminals I've known to flee from the law...every farging one of them went to Florida.

Can't speak for the rest of Florida (particularly the Gainesville-Ocala area), but down here the Yankees outnumber the Rebels about 4-to-1.

Every year I poll my classes and ask how many were born in Florida, and that's about the ratio.  And even those kids that were born in Florida, their parents were born in a northern state.

Additionally, in the West Palm - Ft. Lauderdale area, there are more freaking New Yorkers than you can shake a stick at.

Diomedes

Another good reason not to go there.  The only New Yorkers worth a damn live in New York.

I'm a Yankee, not a New Yorker.

Anway, yeah...Florida is great.  And the Eagles are charging too much money for their tickets.  All of which goes to Jeff Lurie rather than the team.  Burn the Linc!!

Well, 1999 was at the Vet....so if you thought ticket prices would stay the same when they moved to a new stadium, that boggles MY mind.

That's not it at all.

Every year the salary cap goes up, because league revenues go up. They go up from more advertizing revenue, jersey sales, beer sales, food sales, TV contracts, video games,  and any number of the 10s of thousands if item with the NFL or Team logo on them.

All of that increases every year.

Fans were told, the new stadium needed to be built, to increase stadium revenue, to be competitive in today's NFL.
SBL's were introduced to offset some of the cost of the stadium being built.

Moving into the new stadium saw the advent of higher food prices, higher beer prices. Getting hounded for a mastercard at every gate.

Have the opperating costs of the stadium risen that much that they need to increase them every two years?

The NFL is going to fall under it's own weight at some point, it will get to a point where many people will bypass the tickets because of the cost. At the pace it is now, by 2013, it will cost over $100 for the worst seats in the house.

yeah not to mention that replica jerseys (real ones not the ebay garbage) used to cost $50 until last year now $70 for the same material.

wanna see real money gougers, see Jets and Giants who SHARE AND PLAY in a 30 year old swamp and charge the same amounts of the Eagles are (on average).  And wait till they get the new place in 3 years they are going to push all of the remaining blue collar fans out of the stadium. Its everywhere not just in Philly!

Boston is even worse. Of course, they have 3 Lombardi trophy's, but they have pushed every single working class/lower middle class fan away for Gillette. It's a bunch of suits and stuck up New England liberals that go to the games. They have virtually no homefield advantage now, save for the game or two played in crappy weather.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

My endzone seats went from $70.00/ticket to $75.00/ticket :boom
