I saw it in the theater. I enjoy my gore on the big screen for the most part.

Wathched This Film is Not Yet Rated. Typical whiny Hollywood stuff, but it had to be done. the entire thing is so ridiculous. you have to follow their rules, dont have another option and the mpaa is closely in line with all the major studios. and their rules are outrageous and ridiculous, unconstitutional and unamerican. yet its the only game in town. great stuff.

Saw a couple of those Pixar/animated/whatever movies that haven't been released on DVD yet... 

Open Season - thought it was OK, nothing great.  The hunter might be a little creepy for kids.

Happy Feet - awesome animation and sound, and the music is OK (that "Hit Me Up" song on MTV and the radio is nowhere to be found in the movie), but I don't see how kids aren't bored with it after about 30 minutes and the novelty wears off.  It needed a storyline, so they decided to throw religious, social and political overtones into it.  yay!  Basically the movie tells us that your beliefs are bullsh** if they're different, you're a loser if you're different, humans suck, and zoos turn animals insane.  Thanks!

It's different. The story never really develops into anything substantial but it's non-stop action. Take into account that my 3 1/2 rating is based on a 5 scale.

a four does not equal an eight necessarily

on a 5 scale a four is often undeservingly given because you know the movie doesnt belong with threes but then when you see it at four only one star from a classic movie you are like "hmmm its not that good either but id rather have it there than with some of the schlock i rate a three"

so a four out of five many times would be like a 6-7 on a ten scale
