i can't believe you Romes are arguing over a number scale that no one else cares about anyway

You can't start a fire, without a spark

I use an intricate combination of the Dewey Decimal System, the Kelvin Temperature Scale, and the NFL QB Passer Rating for rating movies.

This only gives credence to King Cole's ratings "system".

Good job, fleshpops.

ice grillin you

rating movies should not be taken lightly as your opinion might be the difference bwteeen someone seeing the movie or not

and i personally dont want to be led astray and potentially waste my hard earned money seeing a zesty movie because one of you douchebags mis ranked it

i decide for myself if i want to see a movie, or I go to Rotten Tomatoes

and i use the Rotten Tomatoes philosophy was reading reviews here....if the overall theme of the reviews is good, i may see it.

i don't look at one person giving 2 and a half eagle heads and say i have to see it
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I just saw "Havas: The Man, The Myth, The Legend".  I give it a solid 5.1 out of 5.

BlueHeart

Glory Road: Not bad. Although not the "stand up and cheer" sports movie that gets me pumped.

Could be because I'm not a fan of basketball. This I don't know.  3/5

The Last Kiss: Meh... was alright. Also 3/5.
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

theres only one person i follow when it comes to movies and that is the gawd pulitzer prize winning stephen f hunter of the washington post...

his movie tastes mirror mine which makes him a great american

his take on seven aces today is great....

"Perhaps one could complain that the film's primal narrative is buried within a laborious framing plot involving secret identities and much deadly exposition, all to explicate a mystery that everyone but the Tremor brothers and their kin will solve almost instantly. And Ben Affleck fans should be forewarned: Don't go to the john or refreshment stand in the early going or you'll miss your boy (who's very good, as are all the performers). All in all, another thoroughly enjoyable step on the road to damnation."

I watched Man Of The Century the other night on either IFC or Sundance. It was surprisingly good.

phattymatty

watched all the kings men on the plane a few nights ago.

crap.

The book is fantastic.  Should be required reading for anyone who gives a shtein about U.S. politics.

But I think I'm repeating myself.

I've heard as much.  They took a good book and mutilated the movie by mis-casting a bunch of name actors.

I heard Sean Penn was decent, but the story and the rest of the cast made no sense.

ice grillin you

sean penn was actually terrible...he put on a clinic in overacting...he was so over the top is was comical

im not sure people were miscast as much as the story/script was just brutal
