Clemens is Favre. Favre is Clemens.

Wrong.  Clemens is a roid monkey.  Favre is a vicodin junkie.

Ripken and Gwynn in the Hall. No McGwire. Ha. Ha.

288 wins gets you less than 23% of the vote.

287 wins gets you less than 48% of the vote.

Tommy John and Bert Blyleven each deserve to be in the hall, in my opinion.  So do Gossage and Rice.

Tommy John because he had a surgery named after him and Blyleven because of this classic Bermanism: Bert 'Be home' Blyleven

Every day that Jack Morris stays out of the Hall is another reason to hate Baseball writers/fans/teams/players. Were any of these people alive during his career? Jesus.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I'm so farging glad McGwire is out, too.  They named a freaking highway after him here in St. Louis, then he retires and bailed on the town.  When he was called in for the Final Busch Stadium season, he shows up, refuses to talk to reporters, and walks 6 feet into the field with his kid in his hand as a shield, waves and walks back in.  Whoo-hoo.

Piece of shtein steroid abusing no good bastich.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Not only is he a cheat, he's a fricken rat too.

Will someone please remind me why this guy continually gets a free pass and other players get barbequed for doing far less?

SD_Eagle5

So he used steroids and amphetamines? I can totally see why he should hold the homerun record, what a piece of shtein. McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, Giambi, Palmeiro, Caminiti etc. should have every or any record they hold stricken from the record books.

rjs246

I don't think Caminiti holds too many records. Maybe youngest former MVP to freak out and OD to death on drugs. But other than that, nothing too substantial.

I was trying to show racial equality: White, Black, Black, White, Hispanic, White

i don't know about you, but i'll put that award on my mantle any day.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Barry issues apology, denial of involvement regarding Mark Sweeney.

It's amazing how many guys get caught up in the goings-on of that guy.  How did Sweeney's name even get mentioned in the first place?  Someone had to say something to someone.  It's not as if the reporter pulled his name out of thin air.

Sad and strange.  Gotta feel bad for the guy for having his name dragged through the slime.
