Damn right I wanted him...I havent denied that once. Im upset the Mets didnt get him, and pretty nervous as to how Minaya will fill the rotation...BUT, for the money SF paid, Im glad the Mets didnt match.

It was a 2 team race until SF stepped in. If it had stayed a 2 team race, Zito would have been a Met.

The Yankees have a tentative deal to send Randy Johnson back to Arizona for 3 players. They also signed Doug Mientkiewicz....

i agree...they plan on platooning mientkiewicz at first with andy phillips or josh phelps & using giambi strictly as dh, so that will most likely signal the end of bernie williams' career as a yankee. bernie gave this team a lot but i think it's time.

and good riddance to the big unit...he was an enormous bust. i guess they'll make a run at clemens now that they were able to free up $12 mill by trading unit.

Arizona got raped by Cashman. And Randy is getting sloppy seconds by boning them for a new deal.

Clemens is Favre. Favre is Clemens. Both of those iceholes need to retire. Especially Clemens.
