Lost in Tanslation- Piece of shtein. What the farg was this about? Johanson was great to look at, but otherwise, boooooring sad song about midlife crisis and 20 something marrital doubts. Like I give a crap.  :cfhead
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Diomedes

I liked it.

Gonna watch V for Vendetta tonight.  I'll let you know what I think.  Because you care.

What the hell was everyone oogling about in this movie? It blew. Like Sideways, that sucked too. Maybe it's just my cynical ass, but I don't know. I just wanted this sappy pile of garbage to end.

My all-time favorite movie.

and you told me I was the one with a short attention span.  :-D
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

It has nothing to do with a short attention span. The movie sucked. And even if one can think that it's good, it's not "favorite movie of all time" quality.

Some basic requirements for that include: boobs, guns, a plot.

I saw Little Miss Sunshine. Nothing hilarious, but stuff that went throughout the entire movie made it good like the broken horn. 4/5

The movie definitely isn't for everyone. People either love it or hate it. I personally thought it was really well-acted and very relatable. I've never been to a foreign country by myself without any friends, but if I was and met an american over there and we hung out I'd imagine it would be much like LiT.

No it wouldn't. You're a loser. You're not Bill Murray. You're not meeting Scarlett Johanson. It's not happening. It will never happen. Ever. How you can possibly find some kind of relation to a 45 year old washed up actor going through a midlife crisis and 25 year old hottie married to a photographer who is not sure what she wants to do with her life or if she wants to stay with this guy is beyond me. Enough.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas- what a farged up movie. Seriously. Depp and Del Toro were awsome, some nice cameos from Busey and Tobey Maguire, it was pretty messed up. Hunter S. Thompson is one sick dude.  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead

That is a superficial way to look at it. Bill Murray didn't wanna farg her, he was married. All they did was meet and become friends and hang out when both of them hated it there and couldn't wait to leave. I imagine if I or even you were in Bill Murray's position(minus the money and career) and were over in Japan for business and wanted to leave and you met a friend who was fun to hang around with, then you probably would enjoy your time there a lot more.

Which was all the movie really was about. Two people meet and become friends. Bill Murray's career in it and Scarlett's attractiveness in it were pretty irrelevant in the movie.

I read the book about a decade ago and the movie followed it perfectly.

Lost in Translation blew.

Zanshin

Yeah, Lost in Translation was flat-out terrible.  I like a wide range of movies....but that sucked it hard.

rjs246

I liked Lost in Translation. Bill Murray could sit and stare at the camera for two hours and I would probably find myself laughing at parts.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas the book = amazing.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegan the movie = mediocre at best.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?
