I got around to watching Crank yesterday. Terrible movie, but in enjoyable ways. 3/5

I noticed something while watching it. Apparently it's okay to laugh at the murder, violence, and destruction. It's okay to laugh at the bird being blown away. It's okay to laugh when he pulls the taxi driver from the cab, but it's not funny when he tries to have sex in Chinatown. I don't understand this logic, being able to laugh at all the terrible things except one, but there you have it.

The man. The myth. The legend.

the only reason i gave it 4 was because of cheesy english over asian mouths. the voices were so bad. they could at least get an asian sounding voice overs. otherwise its a 5/5 in my book

I always prefer english subtitles for asian films.

I agree. even the best dub makes it seem like a comedy. And there's something about asian languages while fools are being chopped to pieces.

Jackass 2- I got there a tad late, but whatever. Honestly, I cannot remember the last time I laughed this hard at a movie. It is contributing to our steady decline as a society, but it's so damn funny.  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead

Perfect.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Predator 2. I could not turn the channel, I just had to watch it. it was so bad, yet i couldn't escape.

'Van Wilder 2: Rise of the Tag' reviews

I watched "The DaVinci Code" last night.  I'm one of the 3 people in the world that didn't read the book, but I already knew the premise.  I thought it was well done for the most part, except the "action" sequences were filmed poorly.  Also, it simply drags on too long and should have been closer to 2 hours or just under.

It's worth a watch, though.

3.5/5

Apocolypto- Wow. Roomate talked me into going to what turned out to be a free screening which for some reason was at the reel on campus. Well, it was really violent. So....if you like that kind of stuff, then this movie is for you. I was expecting some kind of religious overtone because it Gibson, but this was just a straight action movie. There are some things behind it and at the end of it that dwelve into that area, but for the most part, this was just a flick about a dude brutally killing lots of other dudes. Stunts were cool, deaths sense were gorey and fantastic, direction was pretty decent from Gibson. Lots of interest camera angles and what not. Overall, a fun movie. Nothing amazing, but a fun popcorn thriller. And yes, the entire movie is in some Mayain Dialect and a jaguar bites a dude in the face and starts eating it.  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead

I had already had enough of Gibson long before his stupid Jesus movie and his Jew hating rant.  I'll pass.

You're not the only one who will pass purely because Gibson made the movie.  It baffles me as to why they're marketing it as "Mel Gibson's Apocalypto" instead of making it a little less obvious that he made it.

Plus, it's too bloody for most "religious righters" that might want to support the movie.

Sometimes I have no idea what people in marketing do with their time.

If you have a moral objection to paying to see a Gibson movie, then that's fine. But it is pretty good for an action movie. Now, I wouldn't pay for it because I'm not giving that racist Jesus loving piece of shtein a dime of my money. But, I'm a Jew and it was free. Sorry.

Clerks 2 -

Liked it a lot. The first 3/4's of the movie were pretty damn funny but got a little cheesy at the end. I can deal with it though because the majority of it was farging funny. Especially Randal.

Rosario Dawson is on fire.

I'm not sure either. Classic.

Watched The Cooler yesterday.  Pretty good.  Lots of Maria Bello nakedness and William H Macy and Alec Baldwin were both really good.  Nothing too deep but I recommend it.
