The Cigar and Scotch Thread

I've been meaning to start this thread since I started getting into cigars, but never got around to it.  I love cigars.  I love the dark, spicy, heavy bodied maduros and a nice single malt scotch.  Taking a deep pull, exhaling and then complimenting that drag with a sip of a fine scotch. I like the smell, I like the taste. I think rolling cigars is an art form itself. I find it extremely sexy when my girl takes a puff off my cigar(perverts).  I prefer a cigar punch over a cutter.  Cigars and scotch are slowly becoming an expensive addiction of mine and I wanted to see if any of you, being highly remarkable gentleman with fine tastes, like to dabble in the cigar/scotch world.

I have taken the time to search for a few of my favorite cigars and provide images for all you scholars, so you may be enlightened and might want to try one or two.  I hope by starting this thread you will all try a cigar and some scotch at one point in your life and say hey, that mussa guy was right for once.  I also hope you all become addicted and die of cancer.   ;)

Might as well start with the best Ive ever had. Straight from Cuba. COHIBA. A co-worker was given one by a client of his as a tip. He passed one onto me one time.  I smoke it til my hands were burning.  A great heavy bodied cigar that I could probably smoke 24hrs a day, even in my sleep.  I highly recommend this cigar if you can get your hands on it.  If you ever go out of the country, ask for it. Your gonna pay alot, but its worth it.

The legal COHIBA. Made in the Dominican Republic.  Very heavy. So heavy that when combined with a good scotch can literally farg u up.  By heavy I don't mean harsh.  Very spicy, very flavorfull.  Around $12-$15 a stick.

A new discovery of mine is the Ashton Virgin Sun Grown or VSG.  A very smooth heavy bodied cigar.  Highly recommended.

Arturo Fuente, Short Story.  A nice smoke for when you don't have all night to smoke a cigar. Medium to heavy bodied. Tasty.

Rocky Patel Vintage Series.  Aged 10 and 12 year cigars.  THere is just something good about the idea of this cigar being aged in a humidor for a few years. Like a wine and scotch.  I like the box pressed presentation.

Saint Luis Rey. A great cigar at a great price. $3 range.  All different sizes.  Thats not my hand.

H Upmann Vintage Cameroon Series.  Highly rated in CIGAR Magazine.  Definelty a good smoke at a reasonable price.

As for Scotch/Whiskeys

I am not so educated on the drink side of this thread, but these are a few I have tried since smoking cigars.

I saw this at the liquor store and had to try it.  Not the best I have had, but still good.

Definetly the smoothest tasting out of these 4.

Glenfiddich.  Definetly will buy again.

Always a good choice.

I have 15 random Cuban cigars I purchased when I was in South America. One of them is a Cohiba and it is excellent.

ive never tried a bad cigar

my problem is these guys have their corny little case...and they talk about which one they want to have this week and have their stupid little cutters...the whole thing is wack...just grab a cigar and smoke it for christ sake...

its similar to how a lot of people get with wine...just drink it motherfargers...get drunk!

i like cigars on a rare occasion.

but it's not something i intend to take on more fully.

i do like good scotch though. i dont restrict myself to single malts. but some of the ones i tried and liked were the same glenlivet shown above...but you should try the 15 year glenlivet, good stuff...i am not a big fan of glenfiddich though.

i really like johnny walker green bottle (15 year)...i intend on trying the gold soon (18 year)

i got a bottle of JW Blue the night before my wedding....and NO ONE is to ever touch that but me. that is for me and me only....i will only drink from it once a year, 1 oz, on each wedding anniversary. but the stuff is absolutley amazing. (for $190 a bottle it better be).
