He sounds like a great fit here.

actually, i think you're right.  there's nobody here that would catch 3 TDs in a game.  Moulds would be a happy camper.

That situation in Buffalo is a mess and that doesn't change my opinion of Moulds at all. He's never had anything like that before.

MDS

I'd take him. Get Lewis out of here.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

FWIW...

I read in USAToday's SportsWeekly from Jim Corbett in their little "insider" blurb that Moulds seemingly knows his days in Buffalo are over in 3 games because of his huge cap hit coming up and that he could be headed to Philadelphia to replace TO.

I sure hope so. I really want him here.

QuoteChris Mortensen of ESPN reports the Buffalo Bills sent a T.O. type letter to wide receiver Eric Moulds informing him the team will pursue part of his signing bonus if there are any more incidents similar to those which occurred last week.

Mortensen said Moulds got in hot water because he took himself out of last Sunday's game after Lee Evans caught three early touchdown passes, he refused twice to return to the game; he said that he's not required to do what the coach tells him to do, he listened to music instead of the coaches at halftime; and he failed to show up for a meeting with coach Mike Mularkey on Monday.

If this is true, there's no way in hell we get him and no way I'd want him.

Moulds is *MAYBE* a #1.5 receiver.  MAYBE.  I suppose if you put him across from Reggie B, you have a solid starting set of WR's... but have no delusions about him being a true #1.  He's not.

i always look at those Packers teams that were really good and look at their WR, they didn't have studs, but they had a good group witha good back, good tight end, and a great QB.

and I think that was AR's philosophy before TO, the problem was, his group of Pinkston, Thrash, and Mitchell were below average.

if you signed Moulds, and had a group of Pinkston, Moulds, Brown, with LJ, with Westbrook and of course McNabb, you might have a pretty good offense that can spread the ball around.

I'd take Moulds for a year, assuming his attitude is right.

i wouldnt count on pinkston and i hope the birds dont either...not so much as far as coming back but coming back and not being reinjured...achilles are notorious for reinjury and being a wr makes that even more likely...they cant make the same mistake they did last year and come in with no depth at wr....they must have a valid plan b and c this next year

fact is they are not getting a number one wr this year so its a waste of time to even try and slot guys...just get a couple significant upgrades...and moulds could definitely be one...

hard to believe greg lewis is signed thru 2011...lol...obviosuly at low money but what were they thinking in doing that...he shouldnt even be on the team next year
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

How does Walker's injury affect his FA status? He still becomes a FA after next season, right?

Damn, I'd love to see him in Philly.

Exactly.  Plan A needs to not include Pinkston imo.  I'm not saying he shouldn't be part of the plan altogether but with his injury he should not be counted on in the same capacity as he was in the past.

I would love to see Moulds here.  I was hoping for him a few years ago before he resigned with Buffalo.  He's not quite the playmaker he's been in the past but he is a legitimate #1 reciever imo.  He can be counted on to make plays.

I would love to see Reggie and Moulds starting next year with Lewis in the slot and McMullen (yes, I said it) getting moved around.  If Pinkston can get back to stretching the field then I guess you find a place for him in there somewhere.  It shouldn't be hard.  It's not like he takes up much space.

Lewis has been a big disappointment this year in a starting role but I'm far from ready to give up on him.  I think there's been quite a few things that have contributed to his suckiness that are beyond his control.  I think he may have been forced into the starting role a little sooner than he was ready for.  I think the whole TO thing was a distraction and I think the suspension/deactivation put even more weight on his shoulders than he was able to handle.

I think if he goes back in the slot he will be much more comfortable and productive.

I also said I wanted to keep Wilbur around for next year and I'm 100% serious about that.  This was his make or break year and imo he's really stepped it up and earned a chance to come back next year.

Reggie's already earned his starting spot next year as far as I'm concerned.  He's a rook and has done a tremendous job filling in as the team's #1 option.  Give him and (a healthy) McNabb an offseason to work together and good things will happen.

I've been saying that I want Walker since I heard he dumped Rosenpuke. I think I got laughed at.

Agreed 100%. Those giving up on GLew are idiots.

Moulds played Saturday vs. the Broncos and had 9 catches for 112 yards. He's still a legit #1 IMO.

He has some questionable personality issues but he's not as mental or flamboyant as TO.
