Just pondering the thought....IF the Eagles were to get him (seems a perfect fit...Eagles hate Rosenpuke, so does Walker), do you stand pat with him, Pinkston, Reggie and GLew?

Hell yeah, I'd be thrilled with that depth at WR. Walker has TO type size and speed, is younger, and is a true #1. I have the feeling the most our FO will do though is bring in a veteran like Eric Moulds (assuming he's cut).

SD, I disagree. Reid LOVES Walker.

I never said he doesn't, I just think there's other needs they may address first.

Actually, this is a HUGE need and he knows it. He knows losing TO is HUGE. He wouldn't have gotten TO if he didn't think so.

I think Walker is a distinct possibility.

Any idea of what type of cap space we'll have once TO is cut? Ed?   ;D

he's not coming here  he's not a free agent. and "gods" probably going to be playing another year after this fiasco which will probably appeal for him to stick around for another season and try to get the numbers to get a payday.  i dont see the FO doing much after the failed TO experiement.

About $5.5M since he would have counted over $7M with the bonus....

That is a ridiculous thing to say. Comparing Walker and TO is preposterous.

i meant in general. if you think the FO is going to sign another big name WR your kidding yourself.  with brown, pinkston coming back and g-lew, your lookin at your recieving corp right there.  sorry, you've been on pinkstons nuts, lets see what he can do w/o a TO.  my guess would be exactly what he did before he got here.  not alot.

I humbly disagree. The Front Office, particularly Andy Reid, realizes the importance of a good WR. Even with the biggest Mormon Blinders on, Reid must have seen how much more potent this offense was with TO.  If anything, they just won't take risks on athletes with potential character issues.

We should just erase TO's name from that deal and replace it with Walkers.  :deion

Tough call simply because he'd be coming back from a pretty serious knee injury.  I know it's a common injury in the NFL and the treatment they get it top notch but it's still a question mark.  Also, there's no gaurantee with Pinky either.  I'm sure he'll be fine but I'll be very concerned about his Achilles from here on out.  If the Eagles go after him (Walker), I'll be all for it but I don't know if I'd feel comfortable with him and Pink as the starting wideouts with the (lack of) depth the Eagles have at reciever right now.

Also, let's say that the Eagles do sign Walker (or any other legit reciever that may be available).  What happens to Reggie next year?  What happens to Lewis?  I really like what I've seen from Reggie and I feel pretty good about him as a starter next year.  If the Eagles signed Walker, he would potentially bring the deep threat capability which would kind of eliminate the need for Pinkston.  Lewis either isn't ready to start or just isn't suited to but I do think that he would excel as the 3rd reciever.  So between Pink and Lewis, who would be the odd man out?
