Can Michael Lewis beef up and play WIL?

I'd rather have him there now even minus the beef. Our LBs suck ass.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

PoopyfaceMcGee

And Lewis sucks ass at coverage... sounds like a perfect fit!

there would be a different feeling about this season if the wins would have been in the dominating fashion like last year.  the problem is, they have gotten blown out 2 times, and they blew a lead to Oakland, needed a monster comeback againt KC and needed a miracle against San Diego.  they very easily could be 2-5 or even 1-6.

Sun,

Well said!  Feels more like 2-5 than 4-3.  Wonder how 4-4 feels >:(

i have not been one of the ones whining about the cap room up to this point.  but if they pass this deadline for putting bonus money towards this year cap without doing anything, they should be killed for it

no corey simon
no fullback
no kick or punt returner
horrid special teams
brutal wr's after TO

12 mil under the cap

ive lit them up from day one on this...even if they sign westbrook before the deadline they dont get a pass on this...its inexcusable

It's currently $9.5 mill.  Stop saying $12 mill.

1) how do you know this, do you have a link?

2) like 9.5 is that much better than 12

I know because I've gotten the info from a respected Philadelphia-area sports columnist and confirmed it from one that's not so respected but is at least privy to the inner workings from time to time.

Hey, I want the Eagles to spend it as much as anyone, but you might as well get it right if you're going to whine.

BTW, if Westbrook is signed this week as many people expect, the Eagles will likely pay at least $6-$7 million of his up-front money as a roster bonus on this year's cap.

imo they should have waited until after the season the sign westbrook and used the cap money to add (and keep) players to the team in order to win the superbowl this year...i love westbrook and want him here long term but they needed to improve the team and win the superbowl this year...not worry about whether westbrook or mike lewis would be around in 09...i would take a superbowl over westbrook any day

Valid point.  Especially with 20/20 hindsight.

MURP

if you could buy a superbowl you would might have a point.

Valid point.  Especially with 20/20 hindsight

except i said this all summer and into the season

buying a superbowl is not the same thing as at the very least keeping your team in tact and really what should have been done is improve your team to get over that final hump...not take steps backwards

whats goping to happen now is that the whole season will be blamed on donovans injury...and its true that is the #1 reason they are in trouble....but it shouldnt hide the fact that they did nothing to improve the team over last year...and in fact made it noticeably worse...both on the field and off...oh and the game day coaching sucks balls
