-This was the worst loss by the Birds since Joe Kuharich coached the team

:o

Um actually, I'd say the 62-10 loss to the Giants under Ed Khayat was worse. In fact, anyone who truly believes that Andy Reid should be dumped should be forced to sit through an evening of 1972 Eagles "highlights".  :puke

I was pissed, then I was just laughing watching the highlights from yesterday, but, I'm pissed again.
I hate these bums. I swear, they exist just to break our hearts. fargers.

I had a feeling that this was going to be a loss. In the grand scheme of things going 3-1 against the AFC west is probably better then the rest of the NFC East will do.

What does bug me about the loss is the way they went about it. The team is poorly coached right now. There's talent enough on both sides of the ball but something isn't working.

P.S. Lito's a fraud.

there would be a different feeling about this season if the wins would have been in the dominating fashion like last year.  the problem is, they have gotten blown out 2 times, and they blew a lead to Oakland, needed a monster comeback againt KC and needed a miracle against San Diego.  they very easily could be 2-5 or even 1-6.

What pissed me off the most, was the return to last week's discussion.  I think RJS brought it up.  We had ALL the momentum in the second half, roared back to 7 down, and McNabb throws that pick.  The second week in a row he went farging stupid, and cost us a FG.  We got away with it last week on a miracle play, and this week it cost us the game.  We get 3 there, I seriously believe we win the game.  THROW THE BALL AWAY STUPID!!  What, you're going to argue Brown was open?!
Anyone but Reid.

SunMo

i won't defend the pick, but he did have one on one coverage with a rookie corner.  i think you'd take that matchup anyday.  i have a feeling Brown didn't cut to the post quick enough, allowing the corner to undercut him.

You don't pull anything risky with the game on the line.  At that point it was all about momentum.  A FG keeps it, a pick gives it away.  And, yeah, maybe it's a rook corner, but he's on a rook receiver.  A wash at best.
Anyone but Reid.

I saw this game as a loss, so I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet, and I agree that the rest of the NFC East is unlikely to go 3-1 against these teams. My worries are not that we lost, but 1) that after several games of ineffective offense, NOTHING was changed, 2) our defense is miserable and 3) our special teams have got to be the worst in the league.

The defense, I think, is a personel problem. Our LBs are WAY below average and our DEs are farging terrible.

The other two problems are coaching, pure and simple. The offense is a farging joke right now and the special teams are even worse. If that shtein doesn't get corrected this season is over.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

SunMo

yeah, i thought this was a loss too, but not like this.  you would hope they would be competitive.

the main problem with this team is that no one is picking up the slack for anyone else.  the defense gives up an opening drive for a TD and the offense goes 3 and out, giving them no time to regroup.  then the defense gives up another TD, putting the offense in big whole, who ends up going 3 and out again.

all 3 units are piling garbage on top of each other.  the offense got it together in the 2nd half, but by then it was too late.

if donovan can't get past this slow start shtein than you might as well have him take the surgery.  it does the team no good to have him not be effective for an entire half while the oppsing team racks up a 21 to 28 point lead.

yeah, it is kind of amazing how bad the entire team plays as a whole.   You wouldnt think the Defense and the offense would be putting up terrible performances in the same games, multiple times.   When an entire team plays like crap I think it goes back to the coaches.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I thought the special teams looked decent overall yesterday.  Much better than the offense or defense, at least.

T_Section224

yeah, our kickoffs were pretty deep, at least we have that going for us.

Too bad the short field wasn't the problem with our defense......
Anyone but Reid.

Cortez was doing his Akers impersonation and was in on a tackle, too.  So we got THAT going for us... which is nice.
