oh and the game day coaching sucks balls

yes it does.  Which is why I dont think keeping Burgess, Simon, Mayberry, Reese or whomever would have made a real difference right now.

Rome

Who didn't they sign that would have made a ringing difference?

Burgess?  Come on.  He barely started last year and was hurt the rest of the time.  He had one good game and cashed in like a motherfarger.  Good for him.  At best, his loss was marginal.

Simon?  I'll grant you, he might have made a bit of a difference in run support but it was pretty clear he was done with the Eagles and wasn't interested in signing there anyway, so you can count him out.

Mayberry?  No.  Marginal difference at best.

Ike Reese?  Career back-up.  Nice player but certainly not a difference maker.  They miss his heart, though, I'll give you that much.

I'm not seeing it, guys.  All the gnashing that's going on over the cap is a joke because none of the players the Eagles let go would have make a significant difference to the wins/losses of this team thus far.

you're right on that one.  None of those guys are really huge impact guys.  Reese would help special teams and Mayberry could be useful due to his being able to block, but other that that it woud strictly be depth.

stop it.

to say that losing 2 starters from the d-line (burgess/simon) & replacing them with their backups hasn't hurt the team is ridiculous....and i'm sure ike would've helped on special teams, which happens to suck this year.

Burgess wouldn't have been starting if Kalu was healthy.

was the front office supposed to know that Jerome was gonna get shot in the offseason?

they've been wrong before...the guy couldn't even get on the field when healthy...which is never.

you're right, Burgess had a completely healthy career in Philly.  they should have given him big money.  They were already committing a bunch of money at one guy with injury issues.  It made sense to keep him instead of throwing cartoon money at Burgess.

MURP

Burgess had 2.5 sacks last year.  McDougle had 2.  Yet you say that McDougle wasnt even expected to  contribute this year and blame the Eagles for not getting Burgess back.  hindsight is fun isnt it.

Mad-Lad

hindsight is fun isnt it.

only after your team gets bent over by the Denver Broncos.

burgess has 7 sacks.
kalu has 1.
mcdougle hasn't played a game.

if you think they did the right thing, then i guess you're happy with what they're getting from the RDE position.
i'm not.
