Bwah...Jose Cortez released

I was glad to see him go, and not just because of yesterday. As PP54 mentioned, there was that garbage he pulled in Oakland, and his kickoffs stunk it up as well. More than a few times he had kicks that would have gone out of bounds if the KR had just let them be, and when they did make it to the endzone they weren't very deep in.

A lot of fans were down on Cundiff for awhile, but most of them were regretting not having him after a few games with this idiot.

Good riddance.

I was actually shocked that you guys kept him even though Cundiff (who looks like that annoying ass little kid Haley Joel Osment, by the way) got hurt. Cortez sucked in his previous stops.

I called my best friend, who is a Cowboys fan, to rip him for that loss yesterday and he also was happy to see Cortez go.

Did you guys sign that Suisham dude from your PS? Is he the long term answer?

If the Skins let Novak go, I bet you guys get him.

There weren't a lot of choices, really. We gave Cundiff an injury settlement, and we can't resign him until week 10. We basically had him in as a camp body after the kicker we had in camp to check out/spell Cundiff went down. He wasn't bad in camp, and was good on kickoffs which is a plus with ole field position Parcells.

We had Novak around before so he's a possibility. If I remember right he was on our practice squad right after camp. I think we released him from it before the 'Skins picked him up, but I'm not sure. France was one of the guys we fans were looking at in camp as well, and Tyler Jones. It looks as though we may tick with Suisham. I think he was in camp with the Vikings.

Cundiff wasn't stellar, but he was pretty consistent from 40 yards in. He didn't kick off deep, but he put decent air under it. If he's rehabbed and has been kicking, Suisham might just be a stopgap.
