I think that's part of the reason why the NBA has fallen so far in terms of popularity.  Granted, the (lack of) ability for players to hit a mid range jumper has also contributed to their downfall but the lack of parody in the league is probably a big reason as well.  Only 6 teams winning the title in the last 22 years is insane.

Personally, I think that the league is FULL of parody. In fact, the NBA has become a parody of itself in recent years.

Now, if you meant parity, then I agree completely. ;D

Da gramr po-lese iz out in full fors 2day.  :flipoff

But yes, PARITY is what I meant.

You think the Sixers not winning titles is because of AI? Last time I checked the following team players haven't won anything either:

KG, Amare, Nash, Dirk, Lebron, Wade, Pierce, Kidd, Mcgrady, Jermaine Oneal, Ray Allen, etc.

The Sixers don't win because other teams are flat out better. You think if AI got his teammates more involved last year they beat a Pistons team who took the Spurs to 7 games? Please. The only reason the Sixers won a fargin game in that series is because of AI.

Yes, moron.  I think the Sixers don't win because they have a six foot shooting guard hoisting up 35 shots a game as the focal point of their team.

Then I'm going to have to break it to you, but you don't know much about basketball.

Try to think of a legit argument without using personal insults while I watch some SNF. I'll be back later to make you look like a fool if you choose to carry this further.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

yeah, you guys are right, 30 points on 30 shots, that's what winning point guards do.

get a clue, learn the game a little bit, don't be so in awe of someone that can just score, there's more to it than that.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

AI isn't a true point guard. Cheeks said it best. He's a basketball player. Point guard is just a label. He goes out and does what he can to help the team win games. People think point guards can't be guys that shoot a lot. They can when your best scorer is one. On top of that his passing is getting better and better. He has good instincts in drawing defenders and finding the open man. Does he shoot too much sometimes? Probably, but you can say that about a lot of players.

 :-o

AI sucks! He shoots too much! They'll never win with him!

Guess what? If they didn't have him they wouldn't win more than 25 games a year. He is one of the premier players in the NBA.

So what if he shoots alot? He HAS to shoot for the TEAM to score points.

Is it his fault he has had a bunch of STIFFS playing alongside him? No.

For the last time let Sam Dalembert take 15 foot jumpers!!

I was thinking that Kyle Korver should be more of a post presence. Let him bang around down low and shoot sky hooks.

On a serious note...I think that the AI-AI2-Webber trio could be a fun thing to watch this year.

Yep.  This goes along with a post I made on the previous page about this team possibly having the best supporting talent around Iverson since he's been in the league.  There's still a good defensive presence on the team but now there are a few guys capable of putting the ball in the damn basket as well.

WEST is GOD

This team does have the most talent around AI. As a unit though I don't think it's better than the Finals squad. They just played so well together.

But that was a defensive oriented squad.  And there really wasn't alot of "talent" on that team.  That team was made up mostly of hustle guys like Snow, Lynch, Hill and McKie.  Individually they're all average players at best.  But collectively they were great.

The current roster has the most individual talent I've seen in quite some time.  The question now is can they play together as a team like that 2001 Sixers did?  I'm going to say no this year but if they can bring back the same starting 5 next year then maybe.  That 2001 team had been together for about 2 or 3 years before they made it to the Finals.

WEST is GOD

That's what I was saying basically. I think this years team has the most talent AI's ever had around him, but as a unit the 2001 squad was the best team AI's been a part of. Like you said they played such great defense. Last year this team was terrible defensively, but we did put up enough points to win games. Hopefully Nailon cancels out the loss of Jackson and Hunter, Nailon improve the defense off the bench. Then Sammy needs to stay consistent. He's a good shotblocker, but not the best overall defender.
