Meanwhile, how about UC Davis, a team that moved from D-II to D-IAA this year, beating Stanford in Walt Harris' home debut...

Oh, and the ol' ball coach got blown out at home by Bama...

Temple only lost by 20 or so. I'm going next week against CMU, so they better not the bore the shtein out of me.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Temple had a shot to win today, but lost to some school called Western Michigan. They can't win until their last game of the year at Navy. And thats probably a stretch. I, for one, am rooting for an embarassing no win season so Wallace will be canned and I dont know, maybe theyll scrap the football program and focus on basketall.

in other news.  Overrated Michigan lost again and Louisville was destroyed.  a little shake up there.  USC was stunned in the 1st quarter and then turned it on to dominate once again.    Purdue lost in OT to a tough Minn.  team.   Maroney had 33 carries early in the 3rd!     Ohio st crushed Iowa.  Looks like they should take the big 10 easily.   Vtech impaled GTech.  Nobody thought it would be that much of a blowout.  Maybe Mexico Jr is the real deal.    Notre Dame won easily and keeps up their solid season.  Michigan St was underrated this year, but blew out a pathetic team in Illionois.   Georgia played a poor game but still won.

I don't know about OSU winning the Big 10 easily, Iowa was extremely overrated this season.  Their defensive line took a major hit this year through players leaving so even though they have the talent at LB they are getting blown up at the point of attack.  Minnesota, Purdue, and MSU should provide a challenge to OSU.

I am absolutey stunned that Louisville lost I was kind of rooting for them this season.

QuoteIowa professor gets death threat for criticizing pink locker room

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Some will look at it as another indication of the decline of Western civilization: death threats over the pink paint in a locker room.
Advertisment

First, some background for those out of step with interior design in sports. Soft pink hues were added to the visiting locker room at Iowa's Kinnick Stadium by former coach Hayden Fry in the late 1970s. Fry believed the color had a calming effect on people.

As part of a new $88 million remodeling job at the stadium, designers retained that color motif, splashing pink across the walls, carpet, showers, sinks, metal lockers and even the urinals.

Last week, an Iowa law school professor received death threats after criticizing the university for using pink paint. The professor, now joined by others across campus, says using pink demeans women and perpetuates negative stereotypes of women and homosexuality.

Football coach Kirk Ferentz distanced himself from the controversy.

"I mean this with all due respect, but it's not really on my laundry list right now," said Ferentz, whose Hawkeyes fell to 2-2 after losing to Ohio State last weekend. "I've got other things that have moved in front of it."
