Mad-Lad

I was impressed when i saw Iowa throw 49 up in the first half against Testicle Tech, but then i found out they had 7 starters suspended for some reason.  Less impressive, but still good to see.

I hope the Cowboys aren't able to draft Vince Young.

what a great weekend of college football!  The top 10 certainly shook up.

- ND kicked Michigan around for most of the game.  Chad Henne had his worst performance that I've seen so far and Mike Hart got injured.  Their defense stepped it up late, but it was too late.  ND looks darn good.

- Anyone else catch Adrien Pettersons run?  basically ran over 3 guys on his way to a TD.  Awesome. Guess he is back in the heisman running.  ;)

-  Iowa St kicked Iowa's ass all over the place.

-  Texas/Ohio st.   What a game.  That one felt like a championship game.   Ohio St couldnt get TD's in the red zone and it killed them.    Their LB's are insane though.   AJ Hawk is a super stud.  College football needs more awesome games like this early in the season.   Im glad to hear that they are playing this game again next year.

-  Anyone catch the LSU/Arizone ST game late?   What an ending.   Late in the fourth quarter its 4th and long and LSU throws a bomb for a TD to go up.  Then they hold Arizona st on the final drive.   What a win.

Indeed it was, MURP. Great day yesterday for college ball.

That UT-OSU game was fargin awesome. Sweed's TD catch was sweet. Vince Young is going to be a stud. They'll be back in the Rose Bowl this year vs. USC.

Did you see that catch by the dude for Alabama? :o

LSU-ASU game was great too.

Game of the weekend goes to Wisconsin-Temple. Great all the way around.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I liked Temples negative rushing yards.

If I was a top high school player I would sign with Temple. Best football program ever.

I sat near some of the coaches one night at dinner. I really want to turn around a say "why the farg do you guys blow?" But, common sense and manners unfourtnatley prevailed.

Wait, are you serious?

I don't get the hype for this dude. He's not a good passer at all. He consistently throws flat-footed. In the OSU game I saw him step into one throw. ONE. Everything else was flat-footed, or back-footed, or on the run. On top of that, he is incapable of making it through all of his reads. With most of the pass plays in the UT offense, there are at least three checkdowns before he should have to bolt. Rarely does he even get TO the second read, let alone through it to the third.

The announcers in the game sucked off Young for that winning TD pass in the front corner of the endzone, and I'm still wondering why. The WR was behind BOTH DBs and had a full 10 yds of clear endzone, so what does Young do? He flat-foots it and lofts this soft little quail between DBs not smart enough to turn the farg around and into the arms of a WR who has to slow down, twist around, and fall into the endzone on his back. It was a poor throw, regardless of the outcome.

I think he's a great athlete, but not a very good QB.
