Rick Neuhesiel is being mentioned.

Maybe you can join his NCAA hoops pool if he's hired? Or maybe he'll teach Temple how to thug it up like the Ravens do.

Maybe he'll work a way to get Boller more eligibility in NCAA. McGann or whatever his name is better.

MDS

No he's not. McGann blows. Everyone on that team blows. They are a disgrace.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Scored 2 TDs for them on Saturday, died Sunday night. They don't know how yet.

It was suicide:

Tragedy hits Penn football team

Kyle Ambrogi, a senior running back on the University of Pennsylvania football team, committed suicide on Monday, Penn spokeswoman Lori Doyle said yesterday.

Doyle said Ambrogi was not on campus at the time of his death.

"The Penn football family is deeply saddened today with the news of the sudden death of one of our shining lights, senior Kyle Ambrogi," coach Al Bagnoli said in a statement. "Kyle was a remarkable young man, a true scholar/athlete, an ambassador for Penn, a tremendous teammate and leader on and off the field, as well as a caring and outstanding brother.

"His loss will be felt for a long time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time."

Ambrogi scored two touchdowns in Saturday's 53-7 victory over Bucknell. His younger brother, Gregory, is a sophomore at Penn and a defensive back on the team. He also scored a touchdown in Saturday's game.

A St. Joseph's Prep graduate from Havertown, Ambrogi, 21, was the Catholic League's co-most valuable player in 2001 and The Inquirer's player of the year. As a senior, he ran for 1,672 yards and scored 21 touchdowns for the league champions.

He was enrolled in Penn's Wharton School with a concentration in finance.

The Delaware County Coroner's Office said it was not releasing any information about Ambrogi's death.

When a call was made to the family's Havertown home, a woman who identified herself as Mrs. Ambrogi said the death was a family matter and had no further comment.

"Everybody here is reeling from this," said Doyle, a vice president for communications at Penn. "The players are devastated. The coaches are reeling. It's just a very tragic situation."

She said the university was working on plans to honor Ambrogi.

A 5-foot-11, 210-pound backup running back who gained 231 yards on 64 carries in 2004, Ambrogi was the recipient of the St. Joseph's Prep alumni award in 2002. He played in all four of the Quakers' games this season and had 54 yards on 21 carries with three touchdowns.

For his college career, Ambrogi rushed for 381 yards on 89 tries with six touchdowns.

In high school, he was a student-council representative and a winner of the National Latin Exam Silver Award.

"The [athletic] department is working with the many support services that exist at Penn, including the Office of the Chaplain, the Vice Provost for University Life, Counseling and Psychological Services, among others, to lend support to Kyle's friends and teammates, who are devastated by his untimely passing," athletic director Steve Bilsky said in a statement. "All of us share the grief expressed by Coach Bagnoli and offer condolences to the Ambrogi family."

Players from La Salle High School, the Prep's biggest Catholic League rival, heard the news about Ambrogi yesterday from Tex Flannery, the longtime Explorers head coach who now serves as an assistant to Joe Colistra.

Flannery had gone to the school to inform his grandson, Don Connors, who plays for La Salle. An older grandson, John Connors, played for the Prep and was a teammate of Ambrogi's while there.

"The Connors and Ambrogi families are close friends," Colistra said. "After Tex told us what happened, we talked for a while. Then we gathered the team after practice for a prayer.

"Kyle was a great competitor, a classy kid who ran all over us [when he played for the Prep]."

Colistra said he told his players that he had no explanation for the tragedy.

"I told them to look around and recognize that we have each other to lean on," he said. "My heart goes out to the Ambrogi family."

Funeral arrangements are pending.

I placed a small wager for Saturday... a 4-team parlay.

Alabama -13.5 at Ole Miss
Texas -17 vs. Colorado
Penn State +3.5 at Michigan
Notre Dame +11 vs. USC

I only put down $10 on it. But if I get lucky I win $100.

MURP

you have to win all 4 games to win anything?

PhillyPhreak54

Yeah. That's why I only put $10 on it. If I lose, its only ten bucks. But if I win, then I made a hundred. Low risk high reward. :D

MURP

may the force be with you.  except in the penn st game.

rjs246

I am amazed at the number of people on here who don't know anything about gambling. That doesn't mean I have a problem so stop judging me.
