CBuck going down for the season might just be a matter of time.

He has a bruise dude.

Allow me my negadelphia moment as I plot the chances of Buck being hurt this year. Certianly I hope I never see Levens in an Eagles Uni again but... I'm just sayin!!

that's not negative....it's realistic.
if anyone was okay with bucky bad knees as the #1 backup for westy, they were fooling themselves.  with bucky's track record for injuries, he should have come in as the #3 with a solid #2 on the squad.
get ready for some mahe. :P

PFT also talked about Pacman Jones problems before anyone else.   They are doing a better job, but they do get a little crazy with the rumors at times.  They just want to break any news before anyone else no matter what.  Sometimes thats cool, sometimes it's awful.

RE: RB depth, Reno is fourth at best behind Westbrook (after Buck and Moats). And, if Buck were to go down, I think Dorsey would sign and move into Buck's spot, keeping Mahe fourth.

Its funny...so many people are like, "This team is doomed this year!" over losing Pinkston. Its the sky is falling mentality.

This team wasn't even as CLOSE to as good when McNabb went down for 8 games with a broken leg. And then the following year when half the defense was injured and they still won all of those games.

I agree, I think the Eagles will be fine. Not to diminish Pinky's contributions, because I think a large segment of Eagles fans minimize his role in the offense...however, if I had to choose one offensive starter to miss this season--given their contributions Vs. the Eagles depth at their position--it'd be Pinky.

More on a personal level, I'm sorry to see Pinky injured...but, in Andy's "system" and considering the depth behind him and, as Murp pointed out, there's a LOT of camp time left to bring the other WRs up to speed on their roles, I'm not overly concerned, barring further injuries.

QuotePINK'S SURGERY A SUCCESS

August 9, 2005
By ZACH BERMAN

BETHELEHEM, Pa.-- Wide receiver Todd Pinkston underwent successful surgery Tuesday morning to repair the Achilles tendon in his right ankle that he ruptured during last Friday morning's practice.

The surgery was performed in Philadelphia by team orthopedist Peter DeLuca. Pinkston was placed on the Injured Reserve list Monday morning, which means he will not play in the 2005 season.

Eagles head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder said the recovery timeline for this type of an injury is usually six months.

Pinkston would have been the team's No. 2 receiver. Last year, he had 36 catches for 676 yards and a touchdown. Greg Lewis looks to be the man who will replace Pinkston in the lineup.

If the surgeon had been just a little bit shakey Pinky could have lost a leg.

The man. The myth. The legend.

QuoteSTINKSTON'S SURGERY A DISASTER

BETHELEHEM, Pa.-- Wide (but actually anorexic) receiver Todd Pinkston underwent successful surgery Tuesday morning to repair the Achilles tendon in his right ankle that he ruptured during last Friday morning's practice, as he feverishly attempted to run away from getting hit by a 5'9" cornerback.

The surgery was performed in Philadelphia by team orthopedist Peter DeLuca. Despite efforts by fans, players, and members of the coaching staff, Dr. DeLuca could not be convinced to remove the achilles tendon altogether, thus ending the receiver's career.  Pinkston was, thankfully, placed on the Injured Reserve list Monday morning, which means he will not get a chance to display his alligator arms in the 2005 season.

Eagles head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder said the recovery timeline for this type of an injury is usually six months, but that in Pinkston's case, it could take much longer.  "Todd's a huge pussy," said Burkholder, "Unlike T.O. or Donovan, who can often recover more quickly than average, we expect his recovery to take at least 70-80% more time than usual."

Pinkston would have inexplicably been the team's No. 2 receiver. Last year, he had 36 catches for 676 yards, 13 drops,  a touchdown, and thrice soiled himself on the field of play. Greg Lewis looks to be the man who will replace Pinkston in the lineup, considering he should have replaced him in the first place.  The very talented rookie Reggie Brown will also now see quality playing time, and the previously-thought-to-be-lost-cause of Billy McMullen is actually using this as an opportunity to step up an fulfill a small nugget of his potential.

Fixed.

Did you read the rest of it?  Not my best work, but I thought it to at least be mildly amusing.

I read the rest of it and it was mildly amusing. I just felt like making fun of you a little bit, jerk.

Admit it.  You soiled yourself.  Again.

rjs246

Probably. But believe me when I say it had nothing to do with you and everything to do with chronically explosive bowels.
