- McDougle did give the robbers what they wanted (watch?), but apparently when he was reaching for his wallet he was shot.

He originally was listed in critical condition. However, Derek Boyko, the Eagles' director of media operations, said McDougle had spoken to team officials and was walking around his hospital room.

Sounding more and more like he's very fortunate, considering the circumstances.  Glad it sounds like he'll be ok. 

Derek Gunn just confirmed on CSN that McDougle does have a concealed weapon permit (as PG noted), but did not return fire.

Preliminary reports from Miami said he was killed; then critical; then talking to detectives, now walking around. Very, very good news.

He's probably upset he couldn't rush to the scene of the crime to remove the bullet himself with a Swiss Army knife....maybe then the Eagles would see he isn't such a bad guy.
