I think the Hilliard comparison is a little far out. Plax is an upgrade over him big time.

burress was an excellent signing for the gints....they needed a real wr for their young qb & they now have one.

i'm not sure why anybody would be relieved...pinky is still a starter.  ::)

Plexiglass is 26 (1 year youner than Pinky), played in 2 less games than Pinky did last season, had less catches and a slightly better YPC. Not to mention, he is a freaking moron  :-D

Seriously, read that article. He had problems with Cowher who is a known as a players coach, can you imagine what Tommy Boys gonna do if Plexiglass tries pulling that shtein? Not practicing for a month because it's Mothers Day? "I mean, we talking bout practice!" Now he has to be at every meeting 5 minutes early  :-D

Would I trade Pinky for him? No doubt, but let's not get too carried away here. The guy has some serious issues and his stats aren't that much better.

i don't need to read any article to know that burress is MUCH better than pinkston...and don't give me stats either.  the steelers were a run first offense last year...the eagles were the polar opposite.

i know everybody's just doing the usual rip on the giants routine but they needed a legit wr BAD...and burress gives them one.  no silly article changes that.

I think Plax is their best WR right now. Amani Toomer fell off the face of the earth last year.

He was hurt...and had Eli and Warner "throwing" to him.

Plexiglass was thrown to 58 times last season, Pinkston was thrown to something like 65 (maybe not the exact number but close enough to make my point).

I know. But the same argument could be made for Plax. He was hurt and had a rookie throwing to him in a run oriented scheme while playing second fiddle to Hines Ward.

Just sayin'... ;)

agreed.  toomer looked old & slow last year.  burress is clearly their #1 wr.

he's no TO...but he's an upgrade for them.

Talent wise yes.

His zesty attitude, refusal to practice on Mother's Day (he actually skipped practice for that entire month) and salary make him a hard player to like.

Mad-Lad

A few days ago i would have taken Plaxico over Pinkston in a heartbeat.  Now that he's a Giant, he's my sworn enemy and i hope he fails miserably.

I HATE that he's in our division.

Agreed.  I think this signing has a much bigger impact on the 07 season than next, given that Manning still is rough around the edges.  But, Plax could be a headache for us in the future...
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

General_Failure

Sure, but he'll also be a headcase for the Giants. The media says he's nuts, and they're never wrong.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Plaxico in the NY media?

Oh man, it just keeps getting better.  :-D :-D :-D
