You talk as if we didn't just see a candidates history of comments from 25 years ago be used against her 4yeers ago. Not only does Biden have similar comments, he has a voting record to go with it. You're fooling yourself if you don't think that's going to be weaponized again.

Hillary has the black vote too. One of the reasons why she won the nomination was because she absolutely crushed it with southern (read: older, more conservative) black voters. Unfortunately, those aren't the black voters she or Biden need in the general because those states are going to be red.

So not only will his record be used against him, but Trumps team is already reaching out to black voters in inner city black neighborhoods in ways the Republicans never have. Trump doesn't need to win the black vote, he just needs to peel 2-3% away from voting for Biden, whether that means they defect to Trump or just stay home. And on top of all this, Biden is going to get asked about this stuff in the debates and you already know he's going to farg that answer up bad (or the following exchange with Trump about it will be bad) because of how badly he's sundowning.

None of this is to say Biden can't win. It's just to point out the "electability" nonsense ain't nearly as airtight or even as strong for Biden compared to Bernie as centrists want to pretend it is.

Not talking about voter suppression laws...talking about suppressing turnout via using the candidates legislative history to prove, or at least make him seem, untrustworthy to voters in certain issues (like the criminal justice bill in the 90s and Clinton with young black voters....any idea who helmed that effort btw?)

Unfortunately, they didn't vote in large enough numbers in 2016 to hurt HRC's chances in a few certain states. Even though they're a small part of the black vote, they are important. Gonna need their turnout in places like Philly and Detroit and Milwaukee very badly.

Oh yeah, unless something drastic happens or Bernie's able to pull off some surprises next week, it's all but over. Just don't want all of the folks who are convinced Biden is "more electable" to be surprised if/when his numbers start crashing once the general election starts and Team Trump has been plastering Biden's words about race and criminal justice and womens right to choose and social security/medicare cuts all over the airwaves and social media. It's gonna be bad.
