You guys understand that the show is about the rapture and the lead character may or may not be the reincarnated savior, right?

its not at all about that and its kind of shocking after three years of the show you would miss the whole point....which is how the sudden departure affects the characters in different ways and the lengths people will go to whether by actions or beliefs after such a traumatic happening

on a smaller scale the departure could have been hurricane katrina mount vesuvius or columbine....its just a starting point to level tragedy on a population...some characters might think god did it or that it has something to do with the rapture...but that is not what the show is about

all that said even if it was it wouldnt necessarily stop me from watching it it...ive seen the ten commandments and the and the last temptation of christ...these things are art not propaganda

anyone still watching americans? best show on tv imo. thought the finale was a little anticlimactic though. in the trailer at the beginning of the season they showed the daughter walking out of school smiling with fighter jets flying overheard and it looked badass. kept waiting for the scene and it just never happened.
