this isnt really about cap space....if you didnt care about the cap then sign alshon (and there is some merit to this since the cap will continue to go up and the contract alshon gets now will seem reasonable in 2-3 years). its about pimp being 30 and shady being 29.

shady makes a tad more sense on a short deal to act as an RB band-aid. pimp makes sense for a team ready to win a super bowl now looking for an extra weapon (dallas) or a team on the rise with tons of space to burn (tenny)
