what they really mean when they say anti establishment is anti presidential

What could be more traditionally presidential than an old man raving about government while wanting to keep an entire race of people kept out of our borders because they're savages and another locked in an institution built to make money off their labor?

The man. The myth. The legend.

Bill's 1994 Crime Bill that included the 3 strikes provision has been largely responsible for locking up millions of minorities and throwing away the key. She spoke out in support of the bill at the time and, if you believe that she was Bill's puppet master at the time, then it's not inconceivable to think that she at least had serious input on the bill.

Whether this was an intended result or an accidental consequence is largely irrelevant. Bottom line is that a law was signed while the Clintons were in the WH has that ruined countless lives of people of color.

Rome

BILL was president, NOT Hillary.  Why is she catching heat for something her husband did?

Diomedes

All of a sudden Bill and Hillary were the only people who thought it was a good idea at the time.  Republicans hated it.  Democrats thought it was draconian.  The Clintons own that thing, shoved it down our throats, despite the rest of the country thinking crime wasn't really that big a deal.

Locking up violent repeat criminals forever is a bad idea.

1. Hillary was POTUS, according to dozens of people close to the Oval Office at the time.

2.  Whether you believe #1 or not, she publicly supported it.

3.  Really, regardless of 1 and 2, she's a Clinton so she's going to be tied to each and every decision made during Bill's tenure, especially the bad ones. Right or wrong, that's the reality of it.

Also, the law didn't just impact repeat violent offenders, but also non-violent crimes like drug users, dealers, burglars, etc....crimes that deserve punishment but perhaps not decades of incarceration.

She has, more recently, stated that she sees and regrets the flaws in that bill. Take that for what it's worth.

She did use the term "Super Predator" when describing young African American criminals.

Oh, and she turns on her AA/Southern accent when speaking at AA Churches.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

Rome

She regrets facets of a law that she had literally nothing to do with its enactment.

Yep.  So do I.

She's done more for blacks in ten minutes than Trump has in his entire miserable farging existence, so please, stop suggesting otherwise.

If you want to carry the RNC flag, that's how you put it, but that's not entirely right.  She called "gangs of kids" that, not African American kids.  She was talking about urban crime and organized gangs of murderous drug dealers, so the inference that she was speaking of black criminals is not inaccurate--which she basically acknowledged by apologizing for the comment--but the context of the comment is important for understanding what was said and why.  She was not wrong to call the street assasins super predators.  That's kind of exactly what they are.  But her choice of words and context wasn't good and the opening has been taken full advantage of by the right.  It's easy for them to cast the comment as made about all african american kids, and clearly that's not what she said, or meant.

But yeah, HRC the racist.

As for accent...Obama himself does that.  When it's white people he puts on the college vernacular and when it's black folk he gets more street.
