She did use the term "Super Predator" when describing young African American criminals.

If you want to carry the RNC flag, that's how you put it, but that's not entirely right.  She called "gangs of kids" that, not African American kids.  She was talking about urban crime and organized gangs of murderous drug dealers, so the inference that she was speaking of black criminals is not inaccurate--which she basically acknowledged by apologizing for the comment--but the context of the comment is important for understanding what was said and why.  She was not wrong to call the street assasins super predators.  That's kind of exactly what they are.  But her choice of words and context wasn't good and the opening has been taken full advantage of by the right.  It's easy for them to cast the comment as made about all african american kids, and clearly that's not what she said, or meant.

But yeah, HRC the racist.

As for accent...Obama himself does that.  When it's white people he puts on the college vernacular and when it's black folk he gets more street.

This is all true.

FTR, I'm not saying HRC is racist,  but the fallout from the 1994 crime bill definitely doesn't sit well with many minorities and the Clinton name doesn't sit well with them.

Diomedes

I don't know if my previous sarcasm on that point came through, so I'll say it straight:  the whole country--black folks included--were clamoring for that crime bill.  Everyone wanted to get tough on crime, not just Racist Hillary.

first of all they worship Bill and he signed the damn thing

secondly there aren't "many" blacks who hold her responsible...Bernie Sanders very well might be the dem nominee right now if not for the massive black vote she got in the south

people aren't excited including blacks about Hillary because she's not an exciting candidate

her biggest problem with blacks is that her name is not barrack Obama or Bill Clinton not the crime bill

Black millennials are not big fans of Hillary at all and many are withholding their vote from her because of the crime bill/superpredators thing.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Rome

Good.  Then they'll get what's coming to them.

ice grillin you

about a 1/3 of millennials arent even old enough to vote

out of the 2/3 who are more than half dont vote

oh and thats all millennials

now think about how many black millennials vote

now think about how many black millennials have ever heard of the 1994 crime bill

now think about how many black millennials have heard of the 1994 crime bill and still will vote for hillary

now think about how many black millennials have heard of the 1994 crime bill and arent voting for hillary because of it

we are now at about 43 people in the country

getting white millennials to vote for hillary is an infinitely bigger problem than the crime bill pissing off a handful of black millenials

Millennials like Trump.  Seriously.  He's the funny old dude who fired everybody on tee vee while they were growing up.  Hillary is the old gramma who made them eat their peas.

ice grillin you

the second part of that is true....but by and large they despise trump....they like bernie and michelle obama....but for all the wrong reasons

we had a greatest generation....now we have the dumbest generation

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Munson

The youngest of the millennials are 16-18 right now depending on what year cutoff you use before the "iGeneration", while the large majority are 18-30, upwards of 35 if you use the oldest year sometimes used to refer to millennials. So the very, very large majority of the largest living generation is eligible to vote.

Agreed that most still won't vote, but predictions are now that they may make up 25% of the voting electorate on November 8th.

And trust me, as someone who actually knows black people younger than 30...they are very much aware of the 1994 crime bill and hold it against Hillary pretty harshly. The superpredator comment certainly doesn't help in that regard. Millennials are idiots just like every other generation but the power of social media and it's ability to spread around information rapidly should not be underestimated. Far more young black people know about Hillary and Bill's role in mass incarceration than you think do. Which is a problem. Polls bear this out, and yes she needs their votes. If she were more popular among black millennials, she might actually have a shot in Georgia, but her numbers there have faded pretty hard

White millennials are also a problem, but that's because 90% of Bernie Bros were idiots who just wanted "change" and are now voting for Gary farging Johnson and they don't even know that doing so pretty much violates everything Bernie stands for from a social welfare policy standpoint. farging idiots.
