Duh ... No black co-stars in farley movies.

Spade?

Damn, forgot he was born a poor black man. Wait, no that was Steve Martin.

Creed was very good.

I'm a huge Rocky fan and I didn't want to see the franchise dragged through the mud. I was pissed the way V was done so Rocky Balboa had put a relatively nice bow on it for me.

I was skeptical when Creed was announced and then intrigued once I saw the trailer. All the reviews have been positive so I was excited to see this.

Jordan was excellent. He played the part very well. He made his character believable. Stallone was also very good. I was happy with the balance of the old storyline into the new. It wasn't overpowering but was there enough.

The shots of the city were great. Always makes me proud to see the city on the big screen. The atv and dirtbike thing was not much and didn't bother me. It was nothing more than a line by Stallone and some clips on screen for maybe two minutes.

I thought it left a future storyline open for a Creed II and I hope they do one (or more) provided they can keep it comparable to this one as far as cinematography and writing are concerned. Cheese it up and I'll be pissed. The fight scenes were really well done. Real enough to make it seem like you were watching a fight for real.

Unbroken - Story about Louie Zamperini, an American guido who ran in the 1936 Olympics, was a bombardier in WWII who crashed in the Pacific, survived for 47 days before being captured by the Japanese and spent the rest of the war as a POW.

Good story and pretty well done overall.  I vaguely remembered his story from military history, so after the movie I Google him and saw that after he got back from the war, he became an evangelical christian.  Luckily they didn't show that part.

7.5/10

they actually put that in the epilogue during the end of the movie.  i guess i can't blame him after all the farged up shtein he went through.  it also said that he went back and met with all his captors and forgave them and the only one that wouldn't meet with him was the one that treated him the worst
