agreed. have seen it twice at the kennedy center and i will go see it again whenever it's near. not sure it will ever be beat in the history of live theater. so funny.

Want to check this out. Haven't seen a live show since A Bronx Tale

Unbroken - Story about Louie Zamperini, an American guido who ran in the 1936 Olympics, was a bombardier in WWII who crashed in the Pacific, survived for 47 days before being captured by the Japanese and spent the rest of the war as a POW.

Good story and pretty well done overall.  I vaguely remembered his story from military history, so after the movie I Google him and saw that after he got back from the war, he became an evangelical christian.  Luckily they didn't show that part.

7.5/10

they actually put that in the epilogue during the end of the movie.  i guess i can't blame him after all the farged up shtein he went through.  it also said that he went back and met with all his captors and forgave them and the only one that wouldn't meet with him was the one that treated him the worst

Yup. Seems like he went the good Christian route and not the hateful gop way. Thought the video of him running with the torch when he was in his 80s was pretty farging awesome.

spotlight - a modern day all the presidents men without as much suspense...great cast...great story even if I knew it already...cant think of a better movie ive seen this year...also I was literally the only person in the theater...ive been in movies with a handful of people but this was the first ever alone....pretty bizzare feeling

10/10

i almost went to that tonight. you been to the new theater next to 930 club yet? only like 20-25 seats per theater and full bar and menu. pretty good place.

Being in an empty theater is the farging best. Took squaw to see The Martian (meh) a while back and we were the only ones in there. It was great. Took my shoes off, threw my feet up on the seats in front of me and didn't need to try and silence my farts. Pure farging heaven.

DVR'd The Wiz the other day and watched it last night. All in all, it was terrific. Shanice Williams absolutely slayed the role of Dorothy. I mean she farging killed it. 19 yrs old and a relative unknown and she gave Dianna Ross a run for her money.  Elijah Kelly constantly reminded me of MJ with his depiction of the scarecrow. Mary J Blige is still fine as farg.  Music was on point.  They gave it a modern sound, but you could definitely feel the original funk of the 70s throughout.  I was surprised to see David Allen Grier cast in a musical, but the lion was the best fit for him. The 1 song he had to sing solo didn't require a lot of range, which is good because I don't think he has much. He's also not a great dancer either, but the lion costume definitely helped hide that. Queen Latifah was by far the biggest disappointment. Her first musical number had the feel of cheesy cruise ship or an off strip Vegas lounge act.  Poppies were sexy as farg and the stage effects were really farging good.

Squaw had never heard of this before. She didn't know it was a musical and she didn't know that there was a movie adaptation either. I'm guessing that the state of Kansas never allowed it on tv back in the day. Also, there was a bunch of ignorant racists wondering why there isn't an all white version of The Wiz.

4/5.

That last sentence is gold. Pure farging, gold.

Rented Ant Man last night. Predictable and campy, with the usual Paul Rudd type of humor thrown in (the guy is pretty one dimensional), but still fairly decent. Appearance by Wood Harris (in a very minor role) was amusing.

Watched Creed last night, thought it was really average. It's getting great reviews so I had higher expectations, but still, it's just missing something.

Yeah watched any-man a while back, agreed not bad. Well see how the character blends in with the rest of the marvel hero's I assume in upcoming movies.

I stoked for deadpool myself.

Was it more cringe worthy than Sean Connery saying "You're the man now dog."

The man. The myth. The legend.
